I am trying to find out what you all like, and if I have a recipe for it I will post it. If anyone has a recipe that has been requested here, please feel free to post it.
What recipes are you looking for?
Good idea! Post them here or in the Recipe forum? Requests here and recipes there?
A white fruitcake, real rich, that was popular in the 50s. I thought I had the recipe, but can't locate it, which doesn't mean I don't have it. It's just easier to ask in case someone can put their finger on it. This cake didn't use packaged puddings, instant anything, fake eggs or fake anything, it was just a good rich cake. And it didn't need to be made three months in advance, which was important for a new mother at that time. I always got to the first of December and wished I had made a fruitcake in September.
a totally eggless white cake recipe. My SIL is allergic and can't use substitutes even. He's never had white cake, chocolate yes, but I'd love to have a good white recipe.
Tig - Check the recipe forum. You've got mail. ;o)
Devil Eggs?
There was a cranberry relish I made years ago and lost the recipe. I remember the cranberries were ground up (raw). I think there was pineapple in it and whipped cream, possibly nuts chopped. Anybody have an idea? Doris

WERES MY HYPER-LINK?WAH!
Chicken and dumplins with a crust on top. Also the receip for New England Clam Chowder that is served at the truck stop, Wolverene ex. in Michigan. My husband and I used to drive an 18 wheeler across country and that was a "have to stop for chowder" exit for us. I buy it here now in the can but it isn`t the same.It may not do any good to have a receip, all I can get here is canned clams.
I used to go to a little Itallian restarant and have an entree called "Coco Van". I CAN NOT find this recipe in any of the Online recipe websites. Or in cookbooks. I dont know if this recipe is traditionally Itallian or a French recipe. Any Itallian Family recipes out there!
Michelle5000 Try looking for Coq au Vin... a French recipe but can be made to be more Italian. (Seasoned, browned chicken in a red wine sauce) HTH
Oh tink76627 I am so sorry I thought that it went through, I will try and post it again here. http://www.google.com/search?q=new+england+clam+chowder&btnG=Google+Search
I am truly sorry am I forgiven?

Hey REDR I am making Devil Eggs today to go with my left over pot grilled roast only I made a new recipe out of the roast and I call it KIT-ALA-KAT BEEF AND VEGGIES, it taste wonderful.
Oh my goodness notmartha, I know that you are being a little hard on youself, just take your time, I know you can cook. If you can garden with all the problems there I know that you can follow a recipe just give yourself a chance...after all we weren't born great cooks, we got that way after a lot of mistakes ( of course I will not admit to burning anything) lol

I think we need to go eat at Wind's house. Isn't this gal a sweetheart.
Wind, thanks so much for the hyperlink! I also found another recipe I had tasted one time and totally forgot about! It was in one of the links! thanks so much, Doris
Wind, Is it possible to make candied orange peel? I find also candied pineapple is a bit pricey. Is there a way to make candied pineapple using canned pineapple? Doris
I'm not sure my description will make it recognisable to anyone but you never know!
In my first school they used to serve up a side dish once a week. It was a pale orange colour and covered in a pale orange sweetish syrupy clear goo. The things were potato like in texture and I really looked forward to that dish. We lived in a very multicultural area so some of the meals were catered for other cultures.
I always called them fidgets but that was more because I was always being told off for not sitting on the chair properly (never been able to sit on a chair correctly) and the dinner lady would wander off mumbling 'fidgets!'.
