I think I need to get some rudbeckia seeds. Is that the flower in your butterfly pic Ju?
Plant Propagation: The Basics September 2016
Gypsi Mexican Sunflower ( Tithonia Rotundifolia
ok, thank you Ju.
Very healthy, good looking little plants Ju. I've got one of those Autumn Clematis on the go, hoping it won't need any intervention growing on the fence. I've been wrong before, lol.
Once.
only once? I am wrong once a day. I have to have an intervention on my native type passiflora, It will be intervention number 2, as the first time I had to free my poor choked out texas sage
I decided to plant some Dames rocket today and some false spike nettle ,
That being Hesperis ? and Bohemeria ?
The nettle seeds are new and the Rocket's are a fail from before .
Had to plant the nettle in rain , did not get done in time
Robin Those pots are all near each other some together , I am looking forward to seeing how they look in bloom all together
Aster Blue don't know if the pink will make it
Erigeron red White and Blue was not meant to be patriotic . Butterflies might salute
Penstemon whitish
Campanula White
Echinacea Red , White and pink , and purple
Bronze fennel .
Daisy white
Rudbeckia , shades of yellow
Baptisia probably blue
If a few others bloom or show , maybe more ,

Yeah, yeah Gypsi...that's what I meant...once a day. He he.
Ju, that all sounds wonderful and I'm looking forward to the pics you'll no doubt share.
hank you Robin That the clematis can grow fast was no surprise . that it covered that 15 ft more of fence as it has in one season did surprise me ,
So few blooms except early season here this season ,
The White Campanula is still in bloom though , great little re-bloomer
Yes I am sort of a pic hound . lol
Wrong is the only thing I ever got a 100 % in ,, oh well ,,
You're in Kitt, you're officially mutually admired!
Those Florida photos look so good, where were they taken? What were you hauling?
Auburndale mostly- its down on i4 halfway tween Orlando and Tampa. I suspect orange juice....its heavy. The last picture is i75 near Tampa but northbound
*Whine* I wanna go with Kitt to Florida.... *sigh* as I sit here on a Foggy Saturday at work. Ju, I have roots of Dame's rockts everywhere you are more than welcome to them as well as anything else I am thinning out.. ( that would be the monarda, cones large pink, Helen's flower, and obedient plant) just holler up if you want roots, you can plant them now for fall and they will pop up in Spring. I also have to dig up a rogue Honey Locust tree, don't know if Nancy might still want that Black Locust or not but I still have that, and I also have three dogwood saplings, four mimosas and several rose of sharon's to dig out. *sigh* oh yeal, elderberries too.
Signing off to go to work..
oh wait, Wild Blackberry, trumpet vine... HELP!
Sounds like a bunches of blooming plants Debra ,, lol best way to have it ,
I would have to decide where to put all that , and I have so much weeding and plant set to finish it is incredible
All the rain here has me emptying plant trays and so forth
It's the first two Birthday's 1 year old and 3 in the playroom at granny's
The last is : "even if I am only a teenager " ""Kids"" Shaking head ,,
Wish I could dig Debra. Trying to to get to it, but too hot out
I am not much at digging either , I can , only I would rather not ,
Today I was cultivate weeding around Turnip greens , Tall Bok Choy , Giant Mustard , old Garden Mustard
Did some more Tithonia seeds while deadheading , Because Dame's Rockets are described as a Bienniel I don't think I would Have much luck with the roots
It always amazes me how simple weeding types and sounds as to the reality of how long a chore it is ,lol
Jen gave me a tray with a screen that comes in real handy for sunflower and coneflower as the taking seeds out of those old sharp pods ,
He is a cutie Robin , Let's hope agent Smith doesn't show up . he , he ,,
I know a tiger imitation Neo- Tigeria
Neo is quite handsome. I had a cream colored male for a long time. (16 year range)
Love those kitty pics, wish I could see my three grandcats.. miss them. Neo is a real charmer.. and that last pic is priceless, Ju. It has finally stopped raining, with over 11 inches in under two weeks the ground is very easy to work here, and today was too hot! Back to work tomorrow.. propagating tools? My daughter gave me a lettuce tub thing that has a removable bin and seeds stay on the bottom while chaff stays in the bin.. I use an old strainer from the fry daddy for bigger things with small seeds, but the easiest way for me is go out with paper bags, mark them and leave the cut offs in the bag until all dry and then shake the bags.. also, my MIL saved all her white rx bags for me for a whole year and they are perfect for putting the lobelias and american bellflower stalks in and all. I have a huge window screen Joe bent into a cylindar for me and I used an large eyed needle to weave in some string so I can leave big things in it and then just shake over a tub..this year , tho, I have been scattering the dried dead heads around to where I want them to go to and digging up things I want thinned up and few here and there.. wanted to show you how I am getting the brazilian morning glory to root out for me.. it is in a pot behind a pot on the patio and going everywhere, and since it is so special, I am trying to make plants for my morning glory friends.. it is this flower, and I have taken one of the long leaders and dropped it down and have it stuck to the moist soil in this rooting tub held with and old digging fork...you can see in pic 2 the big leader turning up.. now it is down and held down.. Ju, can you name number 4 and then number 5 for me? Joe thinks they are the same and I say no not the same..leaves are different, one is out front and one is out back..help?
thanks, Ju, I know one came from the country and the other from seeds I bought. I love them both, especially the last one as I love to watch it come back in the pot I keep it in, and it s so cool wot watch the stems rise up and the buds form. My eupatorium is blooming, and I love it too. Cute lil coneflower seedlings.. :D
put a wild aster in this thing, it was suppsed to hold a sterno pot for outside light.. cut the aster back about a month ago and here it comes again//// a tithonia from seed!
my cup plant from last year is growing in the tomatoe patch cuz the roots were still there when we did the re-do, poor thing is all ate up with wild blackberry and mgs now.. eupatorium and then firepspike from cuttings i rooted in the fish filter last winter.. Flowers , I must have flowers ...
Debra Really love your flowers ,, I always do , lol
I have both those asters the blue is still small a pair of seedlings still going and growing , I had the pink ones like the Blue . , but failed to keep the water correct , However I have a few more seeds to try another ,, older seeds are still about in a pot mix or two .
The Bee balm from you has lived and the Obedient plants are one of only a few I have blooming
Wild plants like asters and the Fleabanes are my favorite type of plants , Their not truly as pretty but they are such a delightful wild flower ..
I will be trying some Flat Topped Aster this winter
And #4 could also be a Bolten's false aster

You've still got some pretty nice flowers going on Debra. I'm very envious of that Brazilian morning glory!
We have been very fortunate so far frost wise which is really nice because Wendy will have family from Germany here tomorrow and her 75 year old nephew is an avid gardener and loves to come to our place for that reason. Coming this late I thought he would be quite disappointed but we still have a bit of WOW FACTOR going on.
I now have about 80% of the coleus rooted and planted in pots for the long winter ahead. I guess I will soon have to get the succulent cuttings going before I become full time kitchen renovator. I go into demolition mode as soon as the German family are gone and the cabinet maker is supposed to install on October 12th. Then my part really kicks in with ceramic tile drywall and painting. I'm no speed demon on any of that but can usually produce a pretty decent end product. May take me til Christmas???
Keith
Neo thanks you all for the compliments. I loved 'The Matrix' and thought Neo totally had Keanu Reeves mannerisms and attitude.
A lettuce spinner, that's brilliant Deb! Your Morning is really special, it's stunning!
Thanks guys and gals.. Ju, your cats are going to love that cat grass.. I grow a pot for my grand cats and the kids send me snap videos of them looking like lawn mowers eating it down ...
Your kitties will love it too, Ju.
Gee Keith, will you come down here and re-do my 60 yr old kitchen please? LOL trade ya the time for some morning glorys * Joe and I are kind of low maintenance, but I always wanted the before kitchen look to look like the "after" picture at lowes..
Neo is going to bring you and your crew a wonderful time, Robin.
Checked on my Kopper King hibiscus cuttings, two out of three have taken off, happy about that, went out to the old dog-run to check on the tubs of water from rain and make sure the skeeter tabs were working and found long roots from the Madame Galen vine in one of them, the branch had dipped down and set up home in that water.. funny! caught a bunch of butterflies flitting around on the stuff out front and the kalanchoes and phlox and gaura.. so glad they have food to eat on their travels.. hoping to get some eggs laid on the milkweed around here.. no seed pods this year on any of them.. (milkweed)
I do have some marigolds going, not as many as last year and not the real pretty white ones , and no zinnias! wow I am really missing the zinnias, I guess I forgot to plant them..
hot hot hot here today, but stuff is still blooming like crazy, grateful for that..
last pic is my experiment.. our first pineapple of the year , I put the top in this strawberry pot and stuck it in a corner and forgot about it.. .. it took! Great -another plant I have to bring inside for winter .. :PPP
pretty swallowtail and flowers too Debra .
I tried to grow the white cat grass but could never keep it alive
I have almost no blooms in front after a nice iris show this past spring , I am starting over with feverfew and and Rudbeckia Both will bloom most of the season , A couple more all season bloomers in mind ,
I'm gonna send you some Helenia to try out front. it blooms all the way into fall first frost with clipping spent blooms. Also th 4 oclock is a good bloomer, so is datura inoxia.. saving seeds of the densly covered wild aster for you,, I keep mine trimmed down out front easy peasy to trim to get a tumbleweed shape at end of fall.
Debra I suppose we could trade a few aster seeds if you like ,
Smooth blue
New England Pink
Flat topped
I believe two others , I have ,
Not much luck growing them all , I had a thin leaved that does not seem to be there where it was I am not having much luck starting lately . only good or fair ,
I think something got my pink poodle echinacea and my last liatris . A hole in the earth , exactly where they were .
Pots with upper root protection from now on it is , A heavy rock in the bottom of my open bottom plant rings to deter large rodents , Still , there are the Kittens ,, Ninja shredders ...
Hibiscus trionum, it's an annual...a really pretty weed. I've got one Aster and a tropical Ageratum the Bees and wasps are going crazy over. Wasps are fighting other wasps for the nectar, I guess I'm easily amused when it comes to wildlife. I can't seem to get enough.
Thanks all for sharing their pics. Beautiful blooms and Butterflies Debra.
Thank you Robin , I still have them self sowing , later arrivals , Their cute ,,
I saw a patch of that little flower , Ju down the street from where I work, I plant on going there later this fall and gathering up some seed pods, I like how small and bright they are..
I have a critter hole that is weird, about 3 inches wide and about 8 inches from there is another hole leading in under the railroad tie garden .. in and out maybe?
I'll save some seeds for ya Ju, But I have plants you can set out before winter if you want them. Robin, I too am easily amused, I have three spiders I like to watch.. one inside and two outside, love to watch them catch the moths and skeets and inside the one up over the gourmet cart is catching the gnats. LOL weirdness, I know..
Organized? I wonder what that looks like.
Hibiscus trionum. I have it on the lot, and I think I ate a fruit, I didn't die. Is the fruit of this edible? I always thought it was a wild grape tomato used in salsa? which I can't remember the name of
Gypsi I know very little about it , it is here , it grows sometimes , That is about all ..
Several unidentified seedlings showing now , I will seperate and try growing a few , Might get flowers instead of weeds , Most of which I know what they look like ,
Gypsi, there really isn't fruit on Hibiscus, it does have a unique seed head with the translucent bracts covering the seed pod. I think you my be thinking of eating Tomatillo that are also used for salsa. Immature Tomatillo does look somewhat similar.
I like organized Ju -- even if I manage to get there it sure doesn't hang around long. I think organized is allergic to Robin.
