Hello all,
I planted a bitter gourd creeper this summer. It is a plant native to South and South East Asia that grows similar to a cucumber, i.e. separate male and female flowers which (unfortunately) I hand pollinate because of a serious scarcity of natural pollinators.
The creeper is giving a plethora of male flowers but only a handful of females so far. Is there anything that can be done (e.g. fertilization) to increase the female flower yield? I presume what has worked with cucumbers and other similar varieties may just get the job done here as well.
Thanks in advance
