Is an open window considered a cold draft?

London, United Kingdom

I open a window that my Areca Palm is next to in the summer to let in fresh air.
Is that considered letting in a cold draft as I understand palms do not like drafts

I've attached a photo to illustrate. I only open the small window at the top a little bit but breeze still touches Palm leaves
Many thanks

As far as I'm concerned, warm air or breezes is not considered a draft. Many people put their Palms outside in the summer.

Great, thank you. I wasn't sure if the breeze was hurting it so that clarifies it
Much appreciated

Your welcome, your plants look healthy and happy.

Thanks that's really sweet
I've had a brown thumb until recently and never bothered. Now I'm really into plants and research a lot and they seem to be doing well. I guess the plants kinda know how much you care
All the best

Oh, you're on to us 'green thumbs'...there's really no such thing. Anybody can have a green thumb when there is the willingness to learn and trial with experience and research. :)

What's the temp in London? When I was there I thought it was always cold. Lol

Haha you're pretty much right. We have about 2 months of summer if we're lucky
It's currently 70 Fahrenheit and can get as high as 85 on a hot day

I would love to have that temp at the moment. But I don't think that's cold enough to be considered a draft. Lol

Thanks. I don't open the window when it gets colder anyway so I should be okay
The grass is always greener. What I wouldn't give for a Texas summer
