I lost a sizable branch of my snowball viburnum this spring so I cut it out and now a second branch has died. This is a picture of the infected wood. Will I lose the whole shrub or can I get ahead of this disease, whatever it may be? I live in PNW and this shrub gets its very own drip irrigation. Any suggestions?

Well, the problem was never Identified but the shrub has been cut down so I guess this is now "solved"
