Hi guys
I was wondering if the dryopteris affinis (golden shield fern or scaly male fern) can be grown as a houseplsnt?
I can provide it with the humidity and partial shade it needs
Any thoughts and advice is much appreciated
Can dryopteris affinis (golden shield fern) be grown indoor?
Are you planting indoor ?
if you planting indoor,
I've seen these grown indoors, but you are going to want to have it somewhere where it can still get some sunlight via a window etc.
I know some ppl like to put them by a Conner where they get very minimum sunlight usually the following year or some time even before they die.
Hi
Thank you for your reply
So if i have it about 5 feet away from a south facing window with filtered light through blinds is there a chance it will survive or are you saying they will all die within a year of grown indoors
I can also give it shade by placing it behind a larger plant as they apparently like shade
I look forward to your reply and am grateful for your advice
