I guess my want is a "mantis tiller".
A golfcart is on the list too! ;] my neighbor has one and really test me on that covet commandment!=]
What do you want for Christmas
Just one thing Jim thats no fair.lol My kids keep asking me the same thing and I really can't come up with anything. Except I would love a new computer desk mine is falling apart. But then after the last couple of days a new printer might be the top thing on my list.(so I did sneak in 2 things.)lol
FLASH! I just heard this!
Christmas has been cancelled this year!
AND it's all MYSTICS fault!
Santa heard that she had been GOOD,
and he died LAUGHING!!!
LOL
Jo
Everytime I see this thread I start singing:
All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth
I don't need any front teeth at the moment but there maybe a time when a few spare will be useful ;)
Baa thats to funny I almost put that too. Jo your to much what am I going to do with you. Maybe ole Santa will remember that coal for your stocking.lol (but you sure made me laugh)
I would love an old farmhouse in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains with at least 10 acres!
Erin
baa thats just what i started singing! lol
RRunner--LOL
Greenhouse and .....a Greenhouse ....and I would settle for a ...Greenhouse
Crestedchik I take it you want a greenhouse. lol
Reminds me of the joke in high school, a girl said if you make a wish and say it three times, it's yours. So teenage girl said, "Johnny, Johnny, Johnny".
Use Waste oil, My Company supplies such a product that may cut your heating costs by 1/2 or better, lots of greenhouses and many industry customers keep us going . may be a cheap way for some of you
Prain, I wish Ihad that option, my propane bill determines how much I spend on food!
WOW am I that transparent(get it?Transparent,greenhouse film???)Oh well,it was funny to me!!!LOL
lol CC it was funny I knew what ya meant! lol
Golf cart, golf cart, golf cart! Going to run out to see if it came yet!!Jo
I want what Erin wanted, and a GREENHOUSE with it! :)
Erin, Tim, be very careful what you wish! I wished I could have that, and I am indeed in that old farmhouse 12 years later, with one porch enclosed with lattice panels and plastic for what I call the greenporch. My bath facilities are still works in progress after all these years, and the roof is on borrowed time. The window frames are all in need of replacement, most of the panes have air leaks if I don't reseal them often. The wiring was a total fire hazard so had to be replaced at a high price. But if you can really handle it, take it from me, you should have it. Most people who know me think I'm weird for insisting on staying here, but I cringe at the thought of living on a normal street with normal restrictions.
Erin and Tim...I used to live near Roanoke, Va...you can't get any more "Blue Ridge" than that...and I don't blame you for wanting to live in those mountains. Just wonderful. I also lived in Homosassa Springs, Fla...just north of you...and don't BLAME you for wanting to leave all that traffic. You need to get aquainted with Sami (DG) who still lives in Homosassa, but also lived in Va.....she knows the Blue Ridge Mtns. too. I think you would like her a lot. Jo
I want my basement cleaned out and a little cash to build my model railroad:-) Still a kid at heart.
I think I've changed my gift idea, after trying to sort through all the pro's and con's of all the digital cameras on the market. I think I'll settle for a new mind to figure all these cameras out. I saw the new sony that ranges from $800 to $1200,(depending where you buy it), and really liked it - but Santa thinks the tops he should spend is about $400. Considering the fact that I haven't been to a Wal-mart since early August or any department store for that matter,(haven't spent a dime shopping since then), should I just give him the difference or find one in his price range? Maybe I should start a new thread about this?
a 4020 John Deere, a couple of Crimson King maples for my front yard (I have lost large elms this year), and a green house. Oh, and maybe a couple of ginkos for my yard.
Carol, I say if you have the extra money to get that camera, go for it, it's superb. But it is a lot of money...:) so it's back to you!!
This old lady is just happy with having a Polaroid DC640! On sale last year at Wal-Mart for under $150....for someone who cuts more heads off than a guillotine, works for me! Jo
I would love to have a good zoom 35mm camera new or used doesn't matter. I just want one that has a high zoom and is easy to use.
HoniBee, I'd need a digital - I wait weeks to get a 35 mm film developed, only to find that the pics I took weren't worth waiting for.
For Christmas I want all of you to come pack my house for me before we move. :)
Pam
I've been walking around the house singing, "All I want for Christmas is a Turby-twist, a Turby-twist, a Turby-twist...". My hair's long and takes forever to dry and the doggoned big bath towels are HEAVY!! Anyone have a Turby-twist? Are they worth it? LOL
GW...I've been thinking of making one of those. Looks like you could just take a towel and sew a seam...what do you think? I don't have enough hair to need one, but DD's would get a lot of use out of one! Jo
Pam, that is so me! I'm not sure why I do it, but I have actually gotten photos back from film that was so old, I didn't recognize myself. Actually asked, "Who on earth is that in my kitchen?" Have six rolls in my purse now.
Gardengal,
I would rather sit in a one room shack than move again. I have had to move way to many times in my life.
LOL!! me too Honibee, me too. I said if I ever have to move again, I'm burning everything I own and starting all over with just the clothes on my back. (but I will move my brugs outside first:)
well i want to move out and right back in-to get rid of all the "junk".
Dori, too funny! If I got rid of all the "junk" in my house, it would be empty!
Erin, I'm with you - 10 or so acres in the Blue Ridge or Smokey Mountains... and, if I'm feeling really greedy, maybe a few goats, a flock of chickens and a deer-proof-fenced in garden... oh, and a greenhouse, too!
You guys make me laugh. I have often said, I wish I could pick up my house and dump the full contents out into the street, so I could wash and put back only what I need. LOL Somehow that sounds better than tackling each room, closet, etc.
Badseed.....we must be sisters....haha. I wish I could blow my stuff out with a firehouse and start back from scratch...and get rid of junk that way. Used to when I moved is when I could cut down on clutter. I havent moved in 12 years or more...so that might tell you the shape my house is in now. Not one garage sale either....yikes~!
Yeah, we have talked about putting our house on the market and have decided we'd have to rent storage to hide our stuff. Can't throw it away because we might NEED it at the next house! LOL Been here ten years. LOL We had a garage sale, people wanted figurines at a steal and only bought my old Nancy Drew books. Put all the [deleted] at the curb next garbage day and the 'treasure hunters' took every bit. So, you see our trash is too good for the trash, but apparently not worth a buck either! Argh!
12 years here! 5boys-oh the stuff we have saved over the years! Packratz! I have clothes from newborn to mens Large!
Everyones kindergarden papers-projects from all of them over the years. Its unreal-I think a fire would be better than Watering...it might grow! ;]
Maybe we need to do an "On-line DG Garage Sale"....I have some size 14 clothes I'd trade for size 16...some paper back books, and some....No, I couldn't do with out my "Junque". LOL Jo
I've moved too many times myself - always swore I'd put a bomb under the lot 'next time'. My main problem is I don't know how to make one. That's why you've all just GOT to come and help me - coffee and chocky biscuits laid on! :)
The only ones who are excused from helping a damsel in distress are those who have moved more times than I have! I'll give you a hint - I went to 18 schools, and one of those I went to twice!
distraught and desperate
Gardengal....Where do you live?...is it WARM there? That will be the deciding factor of weather or not I help you move! LOL Jo
i out! 20 times! Never again!!!
unless your moving to hawaii-then I will help!!!=]
