Now I know we all know it's better to give than receive and we all want peace on earth but if you could pick one materialistic gift what would it be. I want a digital camera like the one Joan has. Since I saw the first photo that she posted I have wanted one.
What do you want for Christmas
REmember Mr. Belvadere? I want someone like that to take care of the house and cook!
The other totally selfish thing on my list is a Phaison Canna!

a greenhouse that's very low cost on heating.
i want an automatic gate opener. but would settle for a new baby a gray tabby kitten.
I would love a really nice photo-quality printer so I can print my photos at home!!
A cruise to some exotic place for the winter but I would have to be back by spring so I can work on my garden!!!!!!!
Meems :)
farmgirl, you can just go to the humane society and have all the kittens you want, almost any day of the year. If you don't find one, let me know and I will rescue one for you. I might be ahead of you in line for the gate opener. And greedy one here, I also want a digital camera, and a CD burner and a scanner and a good computer to replace this junk, or Windows98 SE full version so I can get the other one back up. And my back porch finished so I can hook the laundry back up, and a plumber who can be trusted to work on my ancient septic system without damaging it, and a roof so the house won't leak. I don't need much.
Okay so we can't say health and happiness and all that? Hmmm. Okay, the mommy in me would settle for any new major appliance as all of ours aside from the dishwasher and possibly microwave are on their last legs. The gardener is in me says more land and a green house!!! How's that for materialistic?? LOL
A good set of garden tools... ones that won't bend with abuse or rust either when I forget them and leave them out in the rain.
This is really on my list and I'm pretty sure my boys have taken care of it already because they stopped asking me what I want for Christmas.
If anyone has asked Santa for a microwave--change it to a convection oven. I received ond for mothers Day and I wouldn`t take anything for it. It cooks with heat and air and works like a regular oven, with iron skillits and metal cookie sheets, pie tins.It also has a combination setting to use either the microwave or convection/microwave together. Fast and doesn`t heat the kitchen up in the summer like a regular oven.
HARRY CONNICK JR.!!!!!!!!! But I don't think DH would buy him for me!!!!
I want Joan's camera too!!!!!

No, Marclay. that's not materialistic enough for this thread. You need to wish for new boots or a bigger telly or a 2 week cruise to a South Sea island.
How about some vine ripened beefsteak tomatoes?
Well,if Sis gets her wish, I wanna swing by and get Aimee and go live there. We'd all be a whole lot happier. LOL Hey Sis, can I have a couple of acres on the back edge, but close enough to the school, grocery and church?? :)
ROFLOL,first off we don't have a school,grocery(only a meat locker) but do have a church,lol' We're 2min. from the high school and 5min. from the grade school,next town over,lol'
First things first and that's a big YES,ya can live anywhere ya want here' Our town's so poor,we can't pay attention, lol' We recently got city water and satelite tv but if the world ended tomorrow we wouldn't know it for 10 years around here, lol' HOME ON THE RANGE,literally, lol'
My Santa just asked me what big gift I wanted this year and I said a digital camera. I've seen two comments above about Joan's camera - what type does she have? I haven't had the time to research the pros/cons of the popular ones currently on the market. Any suggestions?
I want to know what type Joan's camera is too! I'm a different Joan, but I want a digital real bad. That would be number one on my list. Greenhouse would be #2. Happy Habit nuns would be #3. I think I'm gonna get the nuns, and I'm perfectly happy with that. I love them and have been collecting them for a couple of years already. Anybody else collect them?
I want a GOLF CART...NO, I never played golf in my life, but out here in the "boonies" each home is on a minimum of 4 acres...so to go next door is getting to be more than these old feet like to do, and a little ridiclous to DRIVE the car that short of a distance! Heck...I could even take it the 1-1/2 miles to DD house!...And wouldn't my 6 year old GS and I have a ball tooling around the neighborhood? I want a RED one...to go with the Red Radio Flyer wagon my kids bought me for my 66th birthday last year! WOW! I could hook the wagon on the back of my golf cart and go on a camping trip! YEAH! Jo
roadrunner that's sounds like so much fun i hope santa gets you one.
all my babies are strays or humane society. but i have 4 cats and 3 dogs dh put his foot down. oh did i mention my 42 birds and horse lol. i think he would make out better getting me my gate opener.
I would really love to be able to meet one of our DG people. Living out here in the west, it will be impossible to visit any of you, like you are all doing back in the eastern area of the USA. I almost got to meet Patrick, but that didn't work out. Hey is anyone coming out here for the Rose Parade????
Donna...asking Santa for alot, I know
SoCal, it doesn't seem unreasonable, and I hope you get to meet a bunch soon. I'm almost afraid to meet them, because they're too good to be real and as long as I keep them here, they're good.
I would like the courage to get on a plane to Pennsylvania or San Francisco.
I would like the courage to get on a plane to Pennsylvania or San Francisco. And the patience to wait for this to get to Dave's garden.
Weeds, it suddenly got slower, whereas it's been quite fast for a couple of hours. Reminds me I wish for a faster puter.
Dave's is about 50% slower than all other websites. Makes me wonder why I paid for this.
I can do my nails while I wait.
Or fix dinner for the family.
Or walk the dog.
Like the commercial, go make a spinach salad with some sesame seed bread and come back.
I want a greenhouse! I want a huge one, beautiful, potting bench, shelves and all already inside. I want it to have running water, heat, and air, with lights!
Carol and JoanJ it is a SONY MAVICA FD90. And Joan can make some good looking pictures with that baby.
There is really nothing that I would want for Christmas. I do have a wish tho. I know that it's too early to have for Christmas tho,but I wish and hope and pray that the cookbook will be a great success and that everyone who buys one will be pleased with it. Other than that, that is about it for me.
Oh, yes, I do wish for everyone to have a very happy and joyous holiday and a very sage New Years. Just everyone to be happy, healthy, and wise.
DVD player would be what I want. Not going to happen this year as Christmas is done in our house and we are not buying anything else.
Weeds, I don't have a problem with DG being too slow.
Are you having a problem with your puter or is it just DG??
sue
I'd love a paid trip to the Bahamas so I can gamble. I also want a new kitchen counter top. Another car, preferably a Honda. oh and just plain money, lots of it!
I want a GREENHOUSE!!!!!! that's all I want for christmas!!!!!
Sis, it sounds perfect to me. Maybe one of our farm friends can set up a lovely market for us. Oh, and we better have a hospital too. LOL Give me directions to an abanoned farm house on five or so acres, and I will bring you seven new residents! LOL Hope ya'll like kids in that town. :)
SoCal! I wish I had thought to get your address when we were down that way! We could have got together! Looks like it will be awhile now before we can go anywhere again :( But next time I want to meet you!
WELL I WOULD LIKE SOME STATUES FOR MY GARDEN! I HAVE SOME BUT MORE TO ME IS BETTER! DG ISN'T SLOW FOR ME EITHER.
Joan's camera is a Sony Mavica FD90. It stores the pictures you take on floppy disk. How many pictures can you hold per disk at high resolution, I wonder?
My other Christmas wish for Santa is a teleconverter so I can do more zoom stuff with my camera. :o)
