I just received two bunches of Cyperus alternifolius (umbrella palm) yesterday. Unfortunately, the ride home caused many of the stalks to bend at sharp angles. Can the stalks recover? If not, should I cut them back and wait for new stalks to grow? Any and all suggestions appreciated.
