Morning Glories 2016 # 06

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Ladies, I can say it was like I fell for 3 minutes, trying so hard to catch my balance instead of actually hitting the concrete..
I only had a few mg's in that trey Helena. I do actually have one with buds, a cross from Ronnie from a mg tree and a reg mg. This one is not tree shaped, just a reg vining mg. Debra might have sent me a tree mg sd too..I have at
least one of my special mg sds germinated and up from last yrs lovely unknown bloom.
I dread fighting the bugs too Helena. Still cool enough here that the bugs have not attacked any of my plants yet,.Just a matter of time,.

I'm glad you didn't hit the concrete Jackie, I know even that can make you ache.
Will be looking forward to seeing your blooms too.

We had some wind and rain last night, might still rain some more. So hopefully it washed off those pesky bugs out of my mgs. Still got a few blooms but with a bit of damage.

Gorgeous blooms Helena. How nice to see a lovely lavender and pink.
Purple Lightning is so pretty this morning.

Helena, those are beautiful.

OH MY GOODNESS! LOVE THAT PINK/PURPLE, LOOKS LIKE CHIFFON. THE PURPLE LIGHTENING IS MY FAVORITE THO. I MIGHT NOT EVER GET ANY BLOOMS AT THE RATE I AM GOING HERE, SO PLEASE KEEP POSTING!

Debra, same here. the 2nd batch of mg's I started look awful with limp stems. Planted in'that awful seed starter. I won't buy any of that again. I have been trying to start more seeds for 2 weeks and haven;t got it done yet.
I did find one of my Hoyas blooming.. Both of my Hoyas look horrible, the leaves
bleached out by too much sun in the g house.

Jackie, that hoya is so pretty.

Thanks Linda, I;ve moved this one out under the shade trees. Will'try to cut the other one back and see if the new lvs come out pretty and green,.

Very pretty bloom Jackie.

A pretty bloom from Lav-Plum, waiting to see if next blooms are different. The rest are repeats and a new rose.

I love your pretty blooms Helena. I;m hooked on Purple Lightning and
Lavender Plum is a beauty too.. Wish I could grow roses. I would love
em for the fragrance alone. Their beauty is a bonus,.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie. I think I sent you a couple different seeds of Lav-Plum swirl-which I omitted writing swirl b/c it looks like a solid bloom. I hope it still does some neat blooms. Just have to wait and see.
You should try some roses when Lowes has their late sales. There are some easy shrub ones. That pink one has a slight fragrance. This is another one I got for mother's day from my son.

Love the yellow! Joe trimmed all the roses here, Carribia has gone nuts this year. A nice day today, finally.

Helena, I might try 1 when they go on sale. The problem will be getting DH to plant it for me.
Your yellow Rose is pretty too.
I started 15 more mg';s yesterday. Still nothing compared to what I usually start..
Last yr I lost half of mine after using Bayer systemic
Glad you finally had a nice day Debra.

Beautiful blooms Linda. Love your roses.

Jackie, I have to get my roses planted myself. Maybe you can get your grandson to do it for you. It's getting harder for me too.
Here's a few from today, 2nd bloom is a purpurea called Dream Catcher.
