We live in zone 4 & are currently covered with about 4 feet of snow (in April). I germinated my faerie watermelon seeds indoors. They sprouted just fine, but I had to move them to the garage (on the 4th day of sprout), where they went underneath the light in my hydro farm jump start system. Due to the cold at night, I've got the plants underneath a plastic dome to keep the heat in until morning. *The plants are in a 6" pot currently (4) & it is sitting on a clay saucer, inside a plastic tray, over a warming pad, which was also turned on at night. Almost immediately (it has been 3 days now) the plants have started to curl up. It is very cold in this garage at night & due to 3 'greens-hungry' cats cannot have these plants indoors. Any advice would be appreciated.
Help with watermelon seedlings
Watermelon are a heat loving plant. It may just be too cold for them.
