These are maples planted 20 years ago, not by me. I don't know the type, but they didn't get as big as the huge ones get. I noticed last year they were dripping sap but I didn't think anything of it because I'm new at this. This year I realized it was something wrong with them. The bark is split in lots of places and it's losing so much sap right now the base of the tree is soaked in one place.
Bleeding canker or what?
Bacterial Wetwood? Maybe?
