Morning Glories 2015 #16

Gautier, MS

Beautiful blooms Jackie! Love those colors.

Checked on my ghouse seedlings, definitely not doing as good as the ones in my laundry room. Something going on with the leaves, probably a virus.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

On no. I hope you can save them.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Helena., Hope your seedlings will be ok. .

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Can we see? I want to see what they look like, I am just curious as to if it is a virus, what to look for?

Gautier, MS

I took a picture of 5 seedlings so here is what they loo like, these are in my greenhouse. Funny but my salvias plants and other tropical are doing fine in there.

oh boy, that looks like mites or some soil bug... Try spraying them with something?

Gautier, MS

The soil was just bought and transplanted into these foam pods. So I don't now, I am removing all my other pods with the old soil. Definitely not bringing my good seedlings out.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I have gotten bugs in bagged soil before. I am sorry about your seedlings in the green house, glad you have some going inside. :D

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

I don';t have a clue Helena. # 4 looks worse than spider mites to me like maybe there is a virus
or something in the soil. # 3 looks the same (has the same damage as pic 4) on part of one leaf and what looks like insect damage. smh very strange

Gautier, MS

Oh well, I will probably loose those. I had them outside in the rain overnight last week, that's when they got worse.
It's very warm today but we are for some heavy rain, they are forecasting.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Helena, I have sent you an EMAIL , please check it for me?

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

OMG my pasture is flooded and the dog yards. Bet we have over 4 inches of rain already
and its still pouring down.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

One yr I had an unknown insect sucking on my mg lvs and creating the same looking damage to my lvs as in your pic # 3. Probably not the same

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

That is a lot of rain Jackie.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

WOW! STAY INSIDE, jACKIE! THAT IS TOO MUCH RAIN.. WE ONLY HAVE GOTTEN AN INCH

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

We knew it was coming but no way to prepare for it, Its moved out now, thank
goodness. Early this morning, we heard a loud crack that just went on and on. It was a
huge oak tree going down out past the pasture, the 2nd one this yr,

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

how come we are still awake? LOL I have some interesting morning glorys inside, will try to show pics later. I brought in the species that were out on the arbors;

show tommorrow..

Gautier, MS

Glad it passed for you Jackie. We just had a heavy downpour, now I have to drive my g-son to school. Don't know if we are going to keep raining here.

Got your e-mail Debra. Looking forward to your pics.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Eager to see your mg's Debra.

Helena, wish we could have had some of this good rain in the summer when we needed it
so badly. I hate this time of the yr when the fall rains usually set in. Still enjoying nice mild temps
here but some cold nights coming., Just thankful it held off this long.,
