Morning Glories 2015 #16

Gautier, MS

That is great news Jackie.

No mgs for me here. It's been raining heavily since yesterday evening.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

hi all, the tri colors are still blooming along with orange noah and purps. Cleared away a lot of stuff today. I am pooped.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Our rain has finally let up for a while Helena.

Debra, wish I had grown a Heavenly Blue. I really enjoyed the one I grew last yr,
Glad you got a lot done.

Today our weather lady said it was in the 30's here a yr ago. Thankful for the mild
temps we are still enjoying here, 60's and 70's. The cold temps will be here soon enough,

Gautier, MS

Our rain here has let up too Jackie. Having a nice sunny day here, makes me even happier is that I have a hummer taking advantage of the flowers still blooming.

Here's a pic of a hummer in my yard 3 years ago in Nov. 2nd. I had to disguise the feeder as a flower for it to use it (to the left on the pic). Going to try to see if I can get a picture of my new hummer today. Little mgs growing in the ditch and clerodendrum vine the hummer was using this morning.

Your lucky to still have hummers. Ours have been gone for 2 weeks now.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

oh so beautiful, Helena. I miss my hummer, but now I have the finch feeders up and the black-cap chickadees and tufted titmouse greet me every morning when I look out the window. I LOVE your salvias!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

I love your great hummer pic Helena, pic # 3
I have tons of purp volunteers but the 1st frost should get them even if its a ways off,.

Thanks Linda, Debra and Jackie. I took several pictures of my hummer but too far away and it was of his back so I could make out his white end of tail. I have lots of butterflies too.
My hummer is still here. Debra I've already collected a few seeds of the salvias Mexicana, but lots of the coccineas.

Love your pretty blooms too!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Love all your blooms Debra. Your 1st 2 blooms are stunning. Neat Azuremores bloom.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

I'm still getting a few blooms.
The 1st three are all off the same vine, different days, the unknown mg
# 4 is Aogakiyama x Choc silk and yellow Abutilon is last.

is that a no mai? It is beautiful, and sometimes I think the abnormal bloom shapes are a treat to look at. I'm always in awe of the morning glory..

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Deb, this is the mg that has been making all those special blooms.
Same as my Oct 31 post.

Gautier, MS

Beautiful blooms Jackie!!! Malformed or not, it's still special!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Helena. I hope this one continues to make sds for us, Even if it stops, I have
at least 15 sds gathered from it so enough to share a few.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jackie, that is very pretty.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Linda.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Can you believe there are still purps and tri colors blooming? I am freezing ! LOL

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Wish you could send a pic Debra. :-)
How cold is it getting there?

Gautier, MS

Happy it's making seeds Jackie.

It's drizzling here a bit again, definitely got a lot cooler. I should move the rest of my plants to the greenhouse. Just don't feel like it though. On the other hand my mg seedlings are looking good and healthy so far.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Strange weather here Helena but I love it. Anytime its this late in Nov and the
mild temps are holding, I consider it a blessing. Especially after the horrible, cold
winters the previous two yrs.
We're looking forward to your mg blooms this winter. I;m thinking about just throwing
some seeds under my benches in the g house,.
Are you under the weather or just run down? I bought some new vitamins if I can remember to take them.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I got some pics for you Jackie, still have blooms. This is crazy! I'll post tonight after I get some supper..

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

HOW EXCITING! i CAN' T WAIT TO SEE THEM.
STILL NO FROST, IT GOT DOWN TO 35, THERE ARE STILL SOME MGS BLOOMING HERE.. ( sorry at work)

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

OMG Helena, those look great. I have 2 or 3 started but I left them in the small cups too long
so they're not doing well. :-(
.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Nice job Helena.

Gautier, MS

Thanks ladies. These I'm going to grow under lights in my laundry room for as long as I can. They need transplanting already too.
I have about 6 others that I transplanted into 24 oz foam cup with new bought soil, under lights too but it's a lot cooler in there. I had them outside too in the rain.

Hope yours recover Jackie.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Helena, if they don't, its ok. I have tons I can pick from to start
Blue LYK from the 8th, 2 different blooms.
1 more, maybe the last, from my special vine,
