Morning Glories 2015 #14

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

we are waiting to see it! :) hay, did you see those leaves of the species mg? I have no clue..

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

love that purp,., Helena it is really different. that split petal is very interesting. I wonder what makes it do that?

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Helena. Neat blooms,I wish I could see the yellow but my eyes don;t work well enough to let me see a pale yellow. The Blue Silks are amazing
Your Split Petal is beautiful. All of its blooms have been lovely,
Debra, has your species mg bloomed yet? Probably can tell more about it then,
Those palmate lvs are whatever they're called resemble several species I think.
Does mile a minute vine make those lvs? How about platensis or the orange seeded mg?
My bloom is just different on Aog, not so much special. Sorry if I got everyones hopes up.
Its never made a bloom like this, at least not for me,.
Blue Blizzard, I did pollinate this one,
Blue LYK with star.
Another
The last one looks see thru.

Helena, your blooms are very pretty, but the first looks white in my computer.

Jackie, I love your blooms as well. I love the purple one, and I really like the variegated leaves too on the 4th picture.

Gautier, MS

Thanks ladies. Sorry you can't see the pale color on the first bloom, should I say it's more of a cream color. Sorry your computer doesn't show the cream color either Linda.

Jackie, your blooms are gorgeous. Aogakiyama has proved to be special. I am looking forward to growing it again next year. I love you Blue blizzard and those Blue LYK have really stunning colors!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

oh my, Jackie, it is a special. It looks like a water color. Love those blues, and you are right, the last one does look like a see thru.
I'm going to let that species go as long as I can in hopes of a bloom.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks ladies.
My blooms have almost stopped now. I hope to spend some time trying to gather sds the next few days while its dry here with no rain in sight. G house still not finished.

Beautiful Chocolate Silk and blue LYK Jackie!

We are getting a shower now, we need the rain too. I did water my plants the other day before they wilted.

Only getting a few repeats now.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanx Helena, I lost my post where I replied that my unknown might be Fuji no Musumi
I think that bloom and some others I was unsure about came out of Azuremores sds.
Thank you for sharing those sds with me,

A diff Aog vine
Choc silk
Incredible Blue
Azuremores
off of above Azuremores or Aogakiyama, the vines tangled
Both of these are on the back yard fence

Jackie, your blooms are so pretty.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Love the first bloom on last post, Jackie, I think I grew that one, it is very beautiful. Oh that purple is so pretty, and the 4th and 5th are awesome. I am still getting lots of blooms, but was gone all day Saturday for work, and then all day Sunday for work's picnic. I am so excited to see some seeds from you guys, and have been getting seeds for you as well.
GOOD NEWS: Betsy's second opinion tests came back negative for Cancer, and her first Dr mis-diag'ed her. She cancelled the surgery she was supposed to have while we were there to get a second opinion and we are so glad she did. The masses are still growing, but since they are not cancer, they are doing a Laproscopy to see what they are and where they are attached.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Debra, that is good news. I am so glad she went for a second opinion.

Gautier, MS

Glad to hear the good news Debra.

Love, love all your blooms Jackie. They are gorgeous!

We had really heavy showers yesterday into the night, so glad cause my plants needed a good soaking.
So I sowed Blue Star a little late and just now got the first bloom. The rest 3 are repeats and my Limelight salvia, I think that's what it's called.

I love that blue star.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks ladies
Debra, Wonderful news re Betsy. It really worries me that one Dr could be so wrong and it just about destroys the patient and their families (with worry) who suffer right along with her/him.
So glad she went for a 2nd opinion,
Helena, love all your blooms but the Blue Star is to die for,
Blue Star is a tri-color like
Heavenly Blue, Wedding Bells and a few others, Pearly Gates and Summer Skies which is hardly ever seen. Flying Saucers might be a tri-color too.
Crazy about your split petal and I like your Salvia too. A great Salvia collection you have
Helena,

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

love that blue star.. a LOT. I think I love all the tri-colors, actually.. And, I am glad Betsy went, too. I think she should report that first Dr.

Debra, love your 2nd bloom, looks like half Blue Star and half FS, its gorgeous,..
The Lav is a beauty too as is that gorgeous blue # 4.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

A few months ago on our news, there was a Dr. in Michigan. He had been purposefully telling patients they had cancer, and made them go through chemo or radiation, all in the name of greed. He made millions from the patients.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/09/16/cancer-doc-admits-scam-giving-patients-unneeded-chemo/15754535/

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

I remember hearing about that on the news/60 minutes Linda.
smh

Gautier, MS

smh too about bad doctors....

I think quite a few of my purpureas came from Dany.

Beautiful morning glories Debra!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Helena, I didn't get to plant any purps this season. Mine were all volunteers
Next yr I hope to plant 6 or 7 purps and mark their spot well so I can pull up any others
coming up in that area.

My spec unknown top bloom
same as above with bottom 2 blooms showing
Aog cross, all the blooms have been the same on this one
Azuremores
Keiryu

okay, can I drool? LOL that purple is so dark, and the colors so vibrant on your blooms, Jackie.

love the Keiryu
So far every purp I have ever had has shown it's sweet face..

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Debra. That 1st one is dark like the bloom a few days ago..
I agree, the purps are sweet, and they persist for our enjoyment. :-)

Gautier, MS

Awesome blooms Jackie!!! Yep, I'm liking your first unknown and Aog a lot too!!!

Here's the cream showing a different look. My repeats, and crotalaria and abutilon (got it at a Flea market early this spring)

Morning everyone! I love all your beautiful blooms!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

love the crotalaria, never heard of that.. your repeats are great, good find on the abuliton. :)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I had to look it up, as I did know what it was.

http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/2337

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

awww it is cute, but not hardy in my zone.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Linda and Debra. Crotolaria is an annual. It can flower at 12 inches or at 4 ft. or more
depending when it germinated. When I first moved here my neighbor told me he knew someone that grew it as it attracted hummingbirds. Naturally I had to ask if he could get me a few seeds. He did and have grown ever since, I even gave seeds to a friend in Tennessee and he grows it too. Sometimes I see it growing along the highways in MS, it's good too to grow in the back boarder. But also not attractive to everybody.

Helena, love all your blooms. The 1st one (your cream) is special with its split petal blooms.
Beautiful Blue Silk cross and B Silk. Like your Crotalaria too. Glad you found an Abutilon,
one of my favorites.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie.

A few more blooms from the Blue Star and repeats. I really like the color of this rose.

Thanks Jackie. A few of my vines still find a bit of energy to make one more bloom.

Love your beautiful Aog blooms. A really special vine!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Beautiful blooms everyone.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Helena and Linda. Surprised every morning that l'm still getting blooms.
Only had about 10 this morning.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I'm so happy to see your speckled Helena. It is very pretty. I love your rose, too. Especially your blue star, love them all.
Finally got off work late tonight and then sat with Joe all night, I am leaving town tomorrow to go see Joanna up in KC, so thought I'd see what You have for eye candy.

Jackie, that AO is so different, I bet you are so glad to be able to enjoy it still.
I froze all day today at work. Managed to download my photos , my lap top is really getting slow, it is so old, it just freezes up all the time, and I don't want to buy another one.. prolly too many pics..these first two are out front, I planted some of my seeds from last year..
Peppermint decided to wake up again, silly thing, it isn't too healthy and I hope for seeds..
here is a species , and some Jaimie lynn..
