Hi Val, haha thanks for yours and Nanny's attempt to make me feel better about my seed gluttony, I have no idea how to handle it. Heck, I view every purchase in comparison to the cost of seeds and plants. We need a new furnace? Do you know how many plants that would buy me?
There's been a few great souls here that have sent me seeds just for new DG'ers. For the record though; if anyone out there has extra seeds to donate, I'd be more than appreciative.
CLOSED: 2915 FALL SEED SWAP INTEREST"
Robin,
I do have some annuals I can donate. Isn't there someone that does the west coast newbies also? So much of what I have is zone 9 and up.
Thanks so much Dee, I do the West coast too, there is nobody else looking after Newbie seeds. Zone 9 and up seeds are most welcome.
Great!
I printed out a mailing label and put a great big red "Newbie seeds" across the front. I'll start bagging them up and Dmail you when I mail out.. It may take me a couple weeks I'm hot and heavy into starting seeds on my heat mat.
Lol, hot and heavy into starting seeds...I got to love it when people exhibit the same passionate relationship with plants. Say no more, I got it!
Susie,
Glad you posted about putting our seeds to trade in a separate bag. I have been sorting them into your individual bags of seeds according to what they are - veggie, flower, etc. My initials are on all the labels.
TY mary Yes i was going to have you put them all in seperate baggies but then thought it to be best for each of you to put your seeds in your own baggies Much easier for ev1 :) Just be sure to try & Flatten the baggies as much as possible :) if anyone has a way to take the air out you can use it :)
deejay, my plan is to put all my little plastic bags of seeds into a bigger ziplock bag whith my name on it, and maybe list of what I put in it. This big one would indeed be hard to get the air out of, so I plan to puncture it with a needle. There will be nothing small in it that could escape from the hole. Then when it is at low pressure in a jet, it can just let excess pressure out instead of rupturing.
sounds great pistil just make sure the other bags of seeds are not in the bag when you stick the needle in for the holes :)))
Gn all back to chat tomorrow .
Is there a list of where its going to next in the box?
As I just finished cleaning seeds and putting in the packs I looked and got lost. LOL
Lavina
yes there is a mailing list & ADDRESSES of each Player as to who you send to . you will send to the next name on the list after yours . & cross off their name Not their address .
hey kat you have not not put up a wish list I Know you Don't have allot to trade & That is fine but if you can tell us what type of plants you might want to try to grow maybe we can help you find them .
Susie, I just love trying any new ones that I don't have so really nothing special. I just take out what I think will grow good for me. Kathy
we don't know what you already have . :) & There is a few of us who would like to add to What you do not have :)
so you should maybe one day go to your trade list Just add what you have & Say N/A Next to it :)
still love even if you don't want to do that :)
The Robin flew away to Kathy in Otway, Ohio and should arrive by Thursday. If anyone finds some Will Rogers Zinnia or Gypsy Sunshine Marigold in my bag, could you please save it for Susie? I didn't get her email until I already sent the box.
I hope you all enjoy the seeds as much as I did. I'll be looking forward to the 2nd Round Robin.
