I have a small pot bound Hindu rope plant that I would like to separate and give half to my sister and repot, into a larger 7 inch "Smart Pot" (a patented aeration container that is said to be better than plastic pots). How should I separate the individual tubules? Should they remain clustered together or separated from one another? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
Repotting a Hindu Rope Plant (Hoya carnosa f. compacta)
I know this plant as Silver Squill (Ledebouria socialis). http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/2117/
Ditto on the ID.
You can divide each 'tuber' separately, if you want, then repot 3-5 in each pot, well spread out.
Just work the roots apart gently, perhaps under water for the least damage.
