I have a Purple d'oro daylily that has formed 2 seed pods after the blooms fell off. Will these seeds grow? And if they do will they be purple or will they revert to a parent color, whatever that may be?
Daylily
Its hard to say. My guess would be that they will be close to the parent plant but I don't know how many generations that daylily has gone through to become what it is. Sometimes, they grow pups off the flower stalks. Those can be rooted and they will look just like the parent plant as they are essentially clones (but even clones show variances - check out these cloned cats).

It will be awhile before the seedling daylilies bloom.
