I've got Sedum, Chocolate Flower, Red Asiatic Lily and Hemerocallis Ruby Stella. I tried my hand at crossing Daylillies. So far, I crossed one and have one pod. There was only one overlap bloom this season. Next year should be another story.

I bought seed crosses from the Lilly Auction and also have some really generous DG friends that helped me quite a bit upping my DL stock. I should have lots more too. I'm so hooked, I can't believe I waited so long.

Debra, I meant to tell you that a couple of months ago I started a couple of seeds of Hardy Hibiscus I got from Sharon. They germinated real fast and they are fast growers. I crunched one with something, but the other one has a trunk on it about 3/4 inch thru. It is in a 6 inch pot and is about 2 1/2 feet tall. I brought it in the house because it is in the pot. I am not sure if I can or should have Bob plant it, pot and all, in the ground outside for the winter. What do you think? Anyway, what I was going to say is that I think I have more of the seeds if you want some. I think she said they are red. Will have to ask her. I doubt if they will bloom in the house, so may not even make it inside. If not, I will plant another outside next spring. jen

Let me know if you want to try some.

Thanks, Jen, for thinking of me. The dark red leaf with red bloom and the dark green leaf with maroon/red bloom are the ones I am after to complete my collection of Hardy Hibiscus. I would go ahead and leafve your pot otside this winter, but keep it close to the house and cover it with a layer of leaves. It should be fine. I love all flowers and once you get hooked there is no stopping, right?
I have the large white with red center and the bright neon fuchia if you want to try those. Mipi, I think I have some fancy day lilly seeds, too.
I have duplicates in my rose of sharon hibiscus shrubs, so will be digging those out to make room for things I don't have.

Debra, let me ask Sharon what exactly the seeds are that she sent me before you take up room on something you don't want. Will get back to you.

There's a bright neon fuchsia Hibiscus? That's got to be the tropical persuasion. I don't have any tropical seeds, I do have some hardy ones. Do you have names for the ones you're missing?

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

oh no it is a hardy one.. I can send you some seeds..
I wish I did have the names I just know what they look like LOL

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

here ya go.. let me know if u want seeds this one was from a seed to a bloom in one season..

Who gets that one? Cute. Gorgeous Hibiscus. From a dropped seed huh? If it were me it would have been dropped in the path where it got stepped on all the time.
