Anyone know what these are? Harmful ir beneficial?

Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic

These guys have been hanging out in my garden for months. They seem to stay in tight groups and in one place.. And i cant see ant damage that they have done. Whatever they are eating its not the plants, at least not yet..

Looks like the Milkweed Bug(but im looking on my phone so the picture is really small) . They usually don't do much damage, but they do feed on the seeds of plants. Here is some info.

OMG that makes total sense. They where orginally all over the seed pods of an Asclepia (milkweed) . I collected the pods and put them in bucket to dry and they just stayed there and now they are on this fern that was next to it.

Thank You

No Problem, I'm pretty new to all this so I get excited when I find something I actually can answer! :-)
