Can anyone help identify the black spots on these McIntosh apples? My other apple tree (Liberty) doesn't show any signs of this disease. Any ideas would be helpful! I plan on spraying with neem, hopefully it will help with next year's harvest. Thanks!
Help identifying spots on McIntosh apples
There are many diseases of fruit, and many are specific to certain areas.
Have a look at sites that target your area.
For example, here is one from California:
http://www.ipm.ucdavis.edu/PMG/GARDEN/FRUIT/apples.html
It might be a fruit disease common in both our areas, so look through that list, see if anything looks right.
Are the leaves or twigs affected? Any problems on the trunk or main branches?
