The dreaded cabbage worms have started eating the cold crops.
The Pest Have Started
Hand removal of all you can find, and spray the plants with Bacillus thuringiensis (Dipel is one brand name).
Should have sprayed them earlier. The younger the caterpillars are the sooner they die, and the less they eat. Plants can tolerate this low level of damage.
By the time they have skeletonized the plant they have been allowed to do too much damage. The plant will have a hard time recovering.
I could only find them on the one leaf. They had eaten 2 other leaves. I sprayed the entire garden.
Monitor for more pests, and re-apply if they are still active. Read the instructions to see if it needs to be reapplied after X days or after rain.
