Oh my. Those are beautiful.

Mount Sterling, KY(Zone 6b)

Thank You LK! I hope you are beginning to dry out a little. I think some of your rain is supposed to be here this weekend. We could use a little rain, but not 5 inches all at once!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

It is still raining.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

it is scorching hot here already

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

That is a beautiful clematis, have never seen that one before. The Dracaena here at the store are huge and bloom twice a year, i was very pleasantly surprised the first time I saw that.
My desert rose is just now getting leaves again after being burned off by full sun exposure too soon.. I hope our rain has stopped a bit, we got a small tad of water ion the basement from a totally different area than before.. it is however, under control. :) ( that is why we save our newspapers, we use them as a dam)and we will not get the 40K worth of repair to the foundation done as long as we are living here, that much I know. It hasn't had water come in for a long time, which means we got some good rain this time. Still trying to talk Joe into building inside retaining wall planters to plant stuff into and let the water come in as it wants..

Mount Sterling, KY(Zone 6b)

My Desert Rose is still in the greenhouse I have a lot of things that need to be moved out in the next few weeks, before it gets too hot. My son in law tilled my garden last night, and of course it is supposed to rain for the next 4 days. Hopefully I can get it planted in between the rain.

Plainwell, MI(Zone 5b)

Nanny your clematis is so beautiful. My are going to be amazing this year too. I have several. They all are looking full of buds. The flowers on clematis are so elegant looking.
Hey i have been noticing some self seeds of clematis all over my yard is this possible. Do not ever remember seeing this before. It really could get way out of hand.
raining here again this morning. Has anyoneever heard of Pokey Lafarge? There musicis kinda dixieland not really bluegrass. Kind of a mix. But went and seen him last night in a dive of a place. Lol. But fun high energy.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I had to look them up. Looks like they are doing good for themselves, touring all over.

Thank you all for the kind words about my Clematis. Of the three I have, that is my favorite. I can't remember where I bought it. Krogers I think. I have never had mine self-seed that I know of. But maybe it does for some people.

Plainwell, MI(Zone 5b)

I got a clematis bloom! My son and I went and bought flats and plants for pots yesterday. Then he helped me plant them!! I had such a good time with him. He did a great job too. I even put together a little fairy place. 2 nd picture. 3rd is some of our front yard.

Love the Fairy garden, Ronna! Everything looks beautiful. It is so exciting when the color starts popping in the garden, isn't it? Almost like Christmas for gardeners. lol

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad to hear you have help with your gardening.

Somerset, KY(Zone 6b)

My roses are starting to bloom!

Plainwell, MI(Zone 5b)

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

LK, Was that motorcycle gang fight anywhere near you?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

It is in Waco, which is about 5 hours NE of here. It was a pretty bad gang fight.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

glad it didn't affect you

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

good grief! really? I thought all that was only in the movies LOL Glad u are okay Linda, I'd be crazy if anything happened to you, or anyone else here, for that matter.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Only in Texas. The place where it started, Twin peaks bar, may have their license revoked. As they knew this fight was coming, but did nothing to stop it. It is a very popular place for the bikers to hang out, for drinks and drug sales. 170 were arrested, 9 of them were killed. Many innocent people were injured as well.

Mount Sterling, KY(Zone 6b)

Trying this from my phone...wish me luck!

A mother Robin has decided that my hanging basket is a good place to raise her babies. You can see the nest in the first pic left side of the basket, which is the same side the kitchen door is on. This should be interesting.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Love your garden, and those robin eggs are really special.

Mount Sterling, KY(Zone 6b)

all those pots lined up down the path are Cannas. and that isn't all of them

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

oh Annette, your gardens are stunning! Mine are not LOL I like a lot of native stuff, and by the time I am done, I will not be buying any annuals..I have learned how to propagate, that is enough for me.. Great Aunt Effie's "Orchid Iris" decided to bloom this year, they don't bloom every year, they are so very old, when they do bloom, I feel like her and Grandma are smiling at me, I only wish I could smell again..

Oh Debra, my garden is a work in progress! I just took a picture from the good side, lol.You should have seen it before we weeded. Yours are lovely, especially the lavender rose. Is that Angel Face? I had one years ago.Lavender roses are my favorite. And that Orchid Iris, is gorgeous. I love heirloom flowers. Some of my Iris came from my Grandma and great Aunt, too. And they make me smile.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Debra, your gardens are beautiful!

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Went with DGS& DGD to take Amelia to the butterfly & bug house. High point for me was finally seeing a Brug in person. It was soooo lovely.
I did enjoy all the butterflies too. They kept landing on us, DGD had 10 at one time, she must have looked extra sweet. These are bright blue on the other side of their wings.
The bug part....Ehhhh OK. Bee hive was interesting though.

Oh Karen how fun, I remember doing that with my daughters. Good memories.

Plainwell, MI(Zone 5b)

I have always wanted to go to a butterfly house. I think once i did in machinaw. I know thats not spelt correct. But any way it was fun. They have a huge on in Grand Rapids not to far from us. I will take my granddaughter there some day for sure. They have a great conservitory too.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I went to the one in Grand Rapids a few years ago, and it was awesome!

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

The Detroit Zoo has a very nice Butterfly House too. I'll have to check out Grand Rapids next time I'm down that way.
