Last year I planted cauliflower and had huge leaves but no heads. I live in Central Jersey. New to planting cauliflower..any tips?
Thanks...
Cauliflower no heads
Cauliflower does not tolerate heat. For spring planting one needs a short DTM variety. You can grow longer season varieties in the fall. Other than that cauliflower is as easy to grow as a cabbage. I grow Majestic, Rushmore, Minuteman etc in the spring. Amazing does well as a late summer planting for fall harvest Choose the appropriate variety, plant to avoid harvest at high temps and its as easy as flling off a log. I expect that you planted an inappropriate variety or transplanted too late. They are heavy feeders like cabbage, but are much less heat tolerant.
