HELP! my cucumbers are drying up

st Thomas, Virgin Islands (USA)

I planted cucumbers in pots and hydroponics ( homemade) and last year 2 plants produced only 3 cucumbers. The other ones had cucumbers start but shrivel up and fall off, and this crop seems to have all of them doing that. There are lots of small ones starting- should I pinch off some of them?

from what i can see in the photo....are the plants located indoors in a greenhouse perhaps? if so, i would say pollination is the problem, since bees and butterflies arent able to get in, nothing is getting pollinated, so those female blooms eventually just give up and drop off. (female flowers have little fruits connected to them to begin with, but wont get any bigger unless that bloom has been pollinated)

Definitely a pollination issue. Regardless of where the plants are located you need to hand pollinate if you want cucumbers.

if it is an outdoors setup, i would also place some flowers nearby it that would attract bees / butterflies to the general area

Sometimes hot and humid weather interfere with cucumber pollination given your locale.
