I'm laying out in the Sun. On my patio I see small fat red bugs. Thousands of them. are these Chiggers?. I thought chiggers were very very small and you could not see them. these are larger
red bugs...chiggers?
Can you trap some? Perhaps on a sticky cardboard? Vaseline, cooking oil... something may stick a few in place long enough to get some pictures.
Can you count the legs? 6? 8?
Sounds like clover mites.
