I imagine I should be pinching off buds from the zucchini starts still in the house.. Is that right? It isn't warm enough out yet for them to get hardened off, but some have half a dozen buds. Thanks.

I think I would remove flowers that are forming now. When you transplant them you want them to spend some time developing a good root system, and they won't if they are already working on fruit.
Can you plant them out, but cover them? Hoops and clear plastic?
That's what I thought, and yes, I've got hoops and plastic, and with luck no more freezing temps this Spring. Thank you.
