No one knows what it is? I think it might have a tap root, as I am having problems pulling it, and I haven't been able to kill it. I thought if I knew what it was I could find the best way to get rid of it. :)

Clarksville, TN(Zone 7a)

It appears to be Wild Parsnip - Pastinaca sativa.

Ayrshire Scotland, United Kingdom

I was thinking Ground Elder, has a root running method of spreading, I think Cville-gardener is closer though.
In pic 1. you also have a Dandy-lion, also has a large tap root, the problem with both these weeds is, while digging or pulling them out, IF you break the tap root, you end up with a much stronger weed to follow, make sure you dig them up with a large clump of soil and shake the plant free, look to see you have NOT left the small tip way down in place.

Good luck and Best Regards,
WeeNel.

Staten Island, NY(Zone 6a)

I find that dandelion and other tough seeds can be pulled out easy after a heavy rain, that when I pull them up.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3b)

The basal leaves do look like wild parsnip, as suggested. If so, when you dig (NB. not pull) the roots, you should see a taproot resembling a parsnip. It's definitely not ground elder, Aegodium podograria.

By the way, plant ID questions should be posted to the Plant Identification forum, where they will get prompt attention. If you're still not sure after digging up a root, you should link this thread to that site, or make a new post there with more photos.
