White spots on Dark Star Zucchini

Sierra Vista, AZ

In the past 2 days these spots started showing up on my zucchini plants. Is this powdery mildew, or could it be something else? Any thoughts on what I can do to help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thats actually leaf variegation that you are seeing, which is quite normal in quite a few zucchini varieties.

Now if those blotches had a powdery or fuzzy appearance, then you would have powdery mildew, but theres not any problem like that from what i am seeing in your photo

also if you could get a couple more photos at different angles, just in case i misinterpreted something.

Nothing looked powdery to me, so I wasn't sure if it could be something else. The plant is producing new growth and it looks like a few flowers should be opening up in a few days. But this is my first time growing zucchini and wanted to check. I can try to add a couple of pictures later on or tomorrow. Thanks for the info.

also i have just noticed some of the leaves have yellow edges, it may be a good idea to give it a feeding, as wood chip mulch can steal nitrogen from the soil that plants typically use for growth
