LOL. I stuck some tuberose that had been forgotten into indoor containers last fall... they tried to put up tall leaves, but Eliot found them tasty. I figure at least they survived with 4" foliage, and maybe they'll grow this summer.
If you're thinking about caladiums but haven't made up your mind yet, please go ahead and post that you're interested on the group buy thread. Otherwise, we'll close out the thread and place the order tomorrow. Regardless, we need to finalize by the end of the week.
Spring 2015 Plant Swap DISCUSSIONS
!!!! TUBEROSES !!!!! Please
I'll ask if Bill still has them, but I do see tuberose on the website yet. 'Double Pearl'. 10 clumps for $20 ($2 each), 25 clumps for $35 ($1.40 each) plus s/h. Please go to the group buy thread and let me know how many you want... or even how many you'd prefer but also how many you'd be willing to take in order to get them.

I have more caladiums than I know what to do with. I won the photo contest on ATP took 1st and 3rd place. Got $125 of free caladiums from Bill.
Wow, Holly, what a great prize!
Yes it really was and I have leftovers from last year stored upstairs in the plant room. I talked to Bill before we left, he is shipping my bulbs so they will get there shortly after we get home.
Fabulous! I figured Bill was showering you with goodies this spring... I used your photo for the thumbnail on the group buy thread. Definitely a blue ribbon image! :-)
Anyone want a bag of mixed glads? They are orange and pink and were pulled from the ground and stored in peat all winter in the garage. LMK.
surely they will find homes if you bring them
I agree! Bring any plants you want to re-home even if no one expresses interest in them ahead of time; someone will probably want them.
Alright, maybe I will.

Thanks, Gita! I don't always see that column.
In that same column it says it is Catbird's Birthday today! You can wish her Happy Birthday over here:

I just added Ostrich Ferns and hardy evergreen Forget-me-nots to my haves list; LMK if you'd like any.
WHERE is the Food Thread now?
I read that muddy was moving it to another Thread....where?
I still need to sign up for what i will bring. Gita
Gita & Coleup -- done & done! thanks.
I looked in the back corner of the yard earlier this week, and I have jewelweed out the whazoo! it's coming up all over that gravel pad and in at least half the little pots (that's where my "pot ghetto" is)... Any little pot whose occupant is MIA can just be drafted as a jewelweed source, and I can pull a bunch the day before the swap also. They spread like anything, but they are shallow-rooted, so they're not total thugs.
I mentioned the jewelweed to David, and of course he had to ask what KIND I had. I didn't realize there were 2 native species. Since the blooms on mine are orange & yellow, I think that means it's spotted jewelweed, Impatiens capensis. :-)
I think there's still a separate food thread, but Muddy was going to keep track of food on the main swap thread.
Gita, like Critter said, the food thread is still there.
Gita, here's a link to the food thread:

Thanks all---I found it! Signed up with MY contributions.....
Muddy, can we have a Part Two to this thread? Can you ask DG Admin to 'sticky ' Part Two and the Food Thread so we can find them? It is close enough to Swap time that two more 'stickies shouldn't bea problem.
Thanks.
PS I like having a separate thread for Food . Lets me go back and easily find a dish or recipe and far easier to go through our massive 'plant discussion' threads!! I also think that having a summary or master list of who's coming and what they are bringing as you are doing in our Swap thread is great with links to other threads in the series. Bravo
Just added Ornamental Pepper 'Pyramid' to my HAVE list. I thought I started ornamental eggplants, but the seedlings look decidedly like peppers. So they are the 'Pyramid'.
This little plant grows to about 12" - 15" tall with lemmon-green, yellow, orange, purple, and red peppers on the plant all at the same time. A lovely ornamental plant. Let me know if you are interested.

Those are pretty Donner, they look like Christmas lights.
Donner, I would love an Orn Pepper. Please
Wow, all those different colors on one pepper plant? So pretty.
Donner, may I have an ornamental pepper please?
Donner--me tooo...me too....please!
Can seeds collected from these produce the same all colors of peppers?
Would look great in a pot on a table.
Gita
FYI, we've added 'Lance Wharton' (red, pink splashes, sun-tolerant) and 'Florida Sweetheart' (pink, sun-tolerant) to our caladium order. I'm trying to finalize it tonight, so be sure to let me know asap if you want them. :-)
Good idea, Coleup!
This thread is getting long, so let's continue over here http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1392209/
