ivy plant yellowing leafs

New York, NY

Hi,
I have a question about an older ivy type plant i've had for 6-7 years now. it's been growing steadily and easily, branching out happily, but lately has started to loose a lot of leafs in one section - they start getting yellow and then they dry out, i take them out. that same branch though continues to have new production of leaves at the end of it, as this plant is now wrapped many turns. Any advice?

Thanks!

Epipremnum aureum, Golden Pothos.

I grow this one out of the top of aquariums so it has lots of water, but well oxygenated water, not standing water.
When it is in bright light, and this rich water it grows very large leaves, and lots of them.

When it is not happy it sheds leaves: Too dry between watering, too little light, low fertilizer levels (it does not take much, but zero fertilizer is too little).

Mine has recently done the same thing. But I've had it for a very long time. I've fertilized occasionally but I believe it needs repotting in some good soil. I'll probably just get another one.

It looks like a forced-air register on the floor below your plant?

They are very easy to take cuttings.
Clip stems with half a dozen leaves, remove a couple of leaves at the bottom and root them in water, sand or soil.
By starting several in a single pot you will have a full looking plant.

They are easy but I'd just as soon have another one. Costs very little.

Thanks! I'll clip it then.
There's no forced-air register, just wood, it sits on table near a balcony door.

Sure looks like a baseboard register. Guess I'm seeing things. lol.
