Hello. I just bought my house not too long ago. My neighbor is a landscaper and told me that I could add some height to my timber retaining wall and add fill dirt to level out the side of my house. He was going to help me do, but circumstance had it to where he had to move away in a hurry. I remember him saying that I needed deadman anchors for stability. Do any of you have any experience with this kind of thing?
In the pictures, the red arrows are where I'd like to add height to the wall. I'd likethe ground to be level with the base of my HVAC unit. The yellow X leads to a path down to the bottom of my property. I am fine with that.
Also, I have a yellow arrow pointing at some green stuff that grows along the ground in the tiered terrace. Does anyone know the name of it?
Thank you for looking. Jay
