Sorry, I don't know much about spiders.
Beautiful blooms!
Thanks Linda.
Wow, looks like you will have plenty of blooms for early spring!
Thanks Helena,
Your seedlings look great!!!

Golly Helena, those babies look great!
Thanks Debra. That 3rd bloom is out of my no Sora cross sds. It looks a little like the original cross.

Merry Christmas everyone.
Well, I just woke up LOL
Our Christmas was great, while showing my SIL Dana, the basement gardens we found two blooms, one from kohkan and one that was white with lavender edges, but they were small and spent and no camera with us. I need to re-do the glory corner so I can see them and they an have more sunlight from the window, and I have some cups made up to start seeds now. I can't wait till Helena shows her babies budding.
Get to see my GD , Emma tomorrow..
Glad you get to spend time with Emma today Debra. Sounds like youre feeling better.:-)
Hope you're feeling better soon.
Lovely bloom Helena..
Hope you get over your cold soon.
aww Helena, know u r sick of the cold, beautiful bloom from 2013, and I just know u r going to thrill us with blooms soon for 2015.
I do feel better and the visit was great, and waiting for Alex to stop in on her way back from AR to go home to Rx where she has moved. Had a PPV blooming, still learnin the new camera.
Debra, congrats on your new camera. I got a sewing machine for Christmas but have to
re-learn how to use one.
well, gosh, I hope you get a lot of time with that new machine! Mine got all cleaned up, and now it has been a year gone by and it has a layer of dust on the cover.
Got the camera kinda figured.. Alex is here, she will go back to Texas tomorrow after we go to see her mom's grave.
got the shelf area ready for vine seedlings. lights work, everything is ready for action. We call this area the freezer room, cuz it is where the really old freezer is. ( we still use it)
Mine will end up dust covered too. Nice to have though for repairs instead of hand sewing.
How is Alex doing? Rough year for you both last yr.
I have tons of sds I would love to test this winter to see if they're still viable. What kinds of sds are you starting?
started one of weird saz and one of pres bush, tonight, have coleus popping up from last years seed heads, and going to plant some coneflowers since they have been stratified.
peppermint hie is still vining, soon will be budding, I like starting morning glory seeds in winter so I can collect them as they come and tag them. Have already started some butterfly weed
( tropical)
made lots of new plants from cuttings so am feeling good about that. Thought I would go thru my old seed stash and start some things I have never tried. I have some brads white plumeria seeds and some agapanthus? boy, we are up late. Alex is on the couch all in her lap top, Joanna in her room on her laptop. me on mine and Joe turned in about 30 minutes ago, I am about to follow.. we are going to the cemetery tomorrow.
My pineapple sage has given me seeds so thought I start a few of those too. Oh and the triple datura purple has already popped up, and the old plant has bloomed and set seed pods too.
Besides cookies, pies and other baked goods, I have been making doggie bone treats. My neighbors all have dogs that I greet when it is not too cold, so give them one and get a hug and a kiss from a furbaby that is not mine all around me.I sure miss Duke.
Debra, So happy
you started a Weird Saz and Pres Bush, 2 of my favorites. My pineapple sage spits sds
everywhere so I have it coming up in multiple pots, but I love it so I don;t care.
Somewhere I have all those Datura sds you shared with me. I think the plummies are
easy to start from sd. One yr I had about 8 of them up and gave them to a friend because at that time,.I was no good at getting them to bloom. Now I know they are heavy feeders,
loving their fertilizer. I need to pot a few of them up in larger pots and then start
feeding by the 1st of March.they;re all in the green house.
Duke was the neighbors dog from right behind your property?
Looks like one of my Plummies has a virus. I'm sending a pic to the Plumeria forum.
Time to make up a spray bottle of Neem
oh dear, Jackie, let me know what they say. This am before we left to go out to the cemetery I found a whole bunch of the prickly pear seed pods had been opened and there were little round seeds everywhere.
I am such a seed nut.
Duke was my beagle we had him for almost 16 years. He was truly my best friend.
Sun is shining, but I am going to take a nap. Back to work tomorrow, hard to believe I had the whole week off for a change.
Thanks ladies, feeling a little better.
You guys have been busy. I'm thinking too of maybe starting more mg seeds. Debra and Jackie, I'm also a collector of seeds. Today I found my first volunteer seeding in a small pot that I brought to the gh. Also found a seed pod that was on the vine with the seedling so I let it go into the dirt. After all the rain we had I'm sure they will germinate.
Jackie, enjoy our sewing machine.
Here's whats blooming in my gh. 2nd bloom came out sideways, I think I started this one from seed. It looks lighter than my coral one.

Congrats on the new sewing machine Jackie!
beautiful blooms Helena.
Debra, I'm just checking the sticky on that thread for virus descriptions.
Will just do my spray and hope for the best.
Debra, I know you enjoyed having a whole week off.
Helena, lovely blooms. Is one or both of them a Salvia??
Thanks Linda

those are gorgeous, Helena.. what are they?
Well I should have recognized the porter weed as I used to grow it. :-)
Had it in 2 different colors, pink and lavender
Gorgeous blooms.

I planted seeds from you, Helena of the porter weed, it didn't grow for me here.. I will just drool over yours ;)
wow love that last bloom the best. is that an 8 pint I see in the first pic?
Thanks Jackie and Debra. Looks like I got the year wrong on some of those blooms.
Not sure Debra, I think 7 on the first pic. That last bloom was a favorite of mine too. I think the purple porter weed is easier to germinate or grow. Lowes carries it in spring and summer. I seem to buy it every year.
I see some of my plants are getting tricked into thinking it's spring with this weather turning from cold to warm every could of weeks. One hard freeze will kill and set everything to start over again.
Cold has set in here Helena. Just counting the days till Spring.
Getting cooler here too Jackie. Can't wait for Spring either.
Beautiful blooms Jackie from 2011!
Wishing Everyone a Happy New Year!!!!
Love the blooms Jackie!
Getting cold here too. All of 35 for todays high.
Happy New Year everyone!
Thanks ladies. 36 for us tomorrow Linda. it was 40 today but with a north wind,
it didn't feel like 40..
Wishing everyone a healthy and happy 2015.
gorgeous eye candy, Jackie, thank you. It has been wayyy below 30's here.. been in the basement more than outside LOL
Happy New Year to us all, I hope our New Year brings us lots of Joy from all our Glorys.
Nice blooms Jackie.
Love those pretty blooms Jackie!!
