we have a sapphire showers skyflower which is doing well. it produces many berries. what is the
purpose for the berries and should they be removed after flowering?
taking care of ne bush
Is this one of the Durantas?
Berries are a plant's way of reproducing. By spreading the seed new plants have a chance to grow away from the parent plant. Berries often attract a bird who can spread the seed.
If this plant is one of the Durantas then pruning is optional. A bit of light trimming to keep it shaped nicely is all they really need.
