I have some Sunny Impatients seeds from two years ago , I was hesitant to sow then because of the disease that was affecting the plants . Will it be ok to sow them this year ? I always sow them indoors then transplant them outdoors.
Impatients
Do you think the disease was brought in on the seeds? Not sure what you can do about it.
Was it in your soil? If you think so, have you sterilized the soil? Or gotten new soil?
Other carrier? Pots, tools... Have these been sterilized?
All the above is the things to think about, however on saying that, unless the seeds are of a special gift or type or these plants, I would go ahead and try to germinate the seeds, what do you have to loose, you either throw out the seeds or try to germinate them and grow the plants on to reach more maturity, keep the GERMINATING seeds well away from any other seeds your sewing.
The bright side is, the seeds might be OK and the seedlings will develope into nice healthy lovely plants.
Hope this gives you a bit reassurance to go ahead and try.
Kindest Regards.
Weenel.
Thank you WeeNel, will take your advice , nothing to loose. Cynthia
Lets know how the sewing and seedlings do, I feel sure they will give you a pleasant surprise and I do hope that's the case However, as I said above, germinate these seeds separate and isolated from any other seeds, JUST encase there are any diseases that can spread.
Good luck and enjoy.
Best Wishes, WeeNel.
