Can I expect my young sugar maples and sycamores to lose their leaves as autumn progresses even though they are warm indoors?
Indoor deciduous experiment
If you deprive your trees of a cold winter rest, they will at some unexpected point go dormant. It might even be in the middle of the growth cycle. Once that occurs, the plant has little chance of surviving unless it receives enough chilling units to release it from dormancy.

In plain English, they'd be better off doing what comes naturally, outside.
Those all look like maples BTW. (Not sure if you meant that you thought some there were sycamore)
