Morning Glories 2014 #15

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Helena, I hope I can start a few more of the Conf Rose sds you shared with me.
I'll try rooting in potting mix after mine gets big enough to take cuttings without hurting my plant.
I'll try rooting in water too.

Gautier, MS

Hope your CR keep growing nicely for you Jackie. I'm trying to root cuttings from a few of my salvia plants. I started a whole bunch of salvia seeds too. Probably will have way too many plants by spring, I hope they do well for me.

Bloom from one ip. indica vine I got from Georgiavines nursery. I can't believe how dark these blooms have been.

Very pretty blooms everyone!

that is really pretty ( I indica) Helena. I hope to see more blooms from you all soon.

Beautiful indica bloom Helena. Love the dark color of the bloom and the loveLy lite
blue of the Purpurea.

Beautiful grandbaby Debra. Can't believe how much she's grown.

Gautier, MS

Thanks ladies. That's about all I have blooming right now.

Debra, I agree with Jackie, beautiful baby!

My seedlings started to climb and I decided to do an experiment with them. I have pinched the vine after the 6th true leave, want to see what it does. Hoping bigger blooms and less vining.

Thanks Linda. My blooms almost finished, :-(

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

lovely blooms, I love the blue in the i indica, and that HB and LYK are competing for 1st prize .
I still have lots of purps, pearey gates, and flying saucers blooming, a few other i nils. I don't think they have time to make seeds, tho.

Gautier, MS

Thanks ladies.

Beautiful blooms Jackie. I love what cool weather does to the color of blooms.
My vines are just about done too Jackie. I might get a bloom off and one, the others I started will probably take a couple of weeks to set buds.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Debra and Helena.
We'll be looking forward to your new blooms Helena.

Linda, I see a bud or two on one of my LYK's..
I wish I could have made time to plant a few
sds for winter blooms.

A few from last yr, it was a much better growing season for me.

AWE! I wish the growing season was longer too! Take them inside like Debra does? Wish I had room for them inside!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

you have always had real nice beautys, Jackie, and I know how you feel about the end of our growing season here. I have the largest moonflower ever blooming tonight and no camera batteries. So windy here.. That moonflower has just gotten started, too. The string of Flying saucers this am was beautiful. Hope to get a few seeds. Purps are still going strong, been cutting the curtains down around the house and patio, the north fence is always the last since it has special kinds of purps growing and tagged, so tangled and still so green, not ripe enough to cut down yet. Don't see a freeze in sight here for at least a week so far.. I hurt my back so bad, that I haven't been downstairs to see what is blooming. *sigh* MRI is tomorrow, we (Joe) is paying cash for it. I am still uninsured. If surgery is imminent ( I am sure it is ) it will be after I am signed up during open enrollment, so healing time will be during winter. ugh.
Oh well, at least I went to work today finally. ;) 1st pic is The morning glory poem, the Desert rose ( now inside) has two seed pods this year.. Cosmos are going crazy here at the end of the growing season.. The oleander is covered in seed pods, so I cut a few for rooting, added some flowers to it.. The girls came over and purged the pink bedroom, and the p gigantum is quite comfy there, even tho it is sold.. Hope that guy asks me to ship it before it freezes. Pink bedroom looks a lot different now that it is more bare.

Nice pics Debra. Still love your mg poem. I didn't realize that Oleanders rooted in water.
Today I placed some little Brown Jug cuttings in a glass of water to root. Just a test
to see if I can root them in water.
Sorry you hurt your back. I hope surgery won't be necessary.

Love those flowers Debra, so sorry to hear your back is hurting so bad! Have you seen a chiropractor? They can keep things aligned till you have to have surgery.

Gautier, MS

Beautiful blooms Jackie. My indica is the only one that has had a bloom or two off and on.

Beautiful blooms Debra. Nice poem too. I hope everything goes well if surgery is the only option Debra. Hope for a speedy recovery too. Didn't know you had back problems but will keep you in prayers.

Blooms from a couple of days ago.
