BIG rainbow chard

Kensington, NY

Is there a way to cook and eat leaves this big? Slow cooker? Kale chips?
That stem is almost one and a half inches in diameter.
Oh, there is a yellow stem up front, planted to look decorative. Will it re-seed?
thanks

Well, you don't want the main stem, that's for sure! But the individual stems of each leaf should be fine; just slice them like celery, bite-size. I would also tear up the leaves, then I steam them in lemon juice, with a little salt.
Le us know how they turn out, and congratulations!

and i personally would throw in a tad bit of feta cheese in along with 13Turtles recipe ;) lol

Those leaf stems can also be treated just like asparagus shoots
