I had 30 different ones at one time long ago but got cleaned out by bugs.. Now down to two and have cuttings started. The Magillla Perilla is a very hardy. Much better the the coleus

Also don't forget your door prizes for you and your guest. Nothing major just small item or something you don't need that still has a value to others. No, you can't bring your kids for door prizes! LOL!

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Anyone coming that hasn't posted on the Attendance Thread? Have extra guest?

See everyone at NOON Sunday, tomorrow!!

Dallas, TX

SHEILA - Thanks much for the Coral Nymph Salvia.

Dallas, TX

PLEASE HELP! NEED ADVICE.
The woman that gave me the large trash bags full of various size pots must have had some damp pots in the mix. When I open the bags skeeters fly out and circle all around. Anyone have a suggestion as to what I should do?

Transferring to new bags won't totally solve the problem.
And I had put some in the sun but there's so many pots I can't do all of them.

Should I buy some (ick) toxic bug stuff and spray it in the bags? I am trying to find some boxes but there will still be plenty of the little blood suckers.

I'm going to work on airing things out, but if anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Kingston, OK(Zone 7a)

Datura wrightii I have one potted and can dig one more.

Steady Cam do yoy have any of these left: coleus, lots of varieties, potted and rooted

Thanks all for the last minute requests, and sandy please don't even worry about the JOO -- this piggy needs to go on a diet anyway lol! :D

Dallas, TX

Got a last minute email from a neighbor who said she had some pots but they really weren't good for gardening. I just got back from her house and she had what appear to be brand new clay pots. Most are on the small side but I think some of y'all might like 'em. I'll have them on my table and it will be 1st come, 1st served. (Have no idea why she thought they wouldn't be good for gardening.)

Houston Heights, TX(Zone 9a)

Sheila, thank you for the mini blind labels
Anna thank you for the Perilla I would love it. got you down for Confederate Rose.

Sandy have you down for the Torch cactus

TA, have you down for some coleus and thanks for the burr oaks.

Sandy I will bring a Jewels of Opar for SPWD.

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

Thanks marty for bringing SPWD a Jewel of Opar

(Becky), Lipan, TX(Zone 7b)

Yes thank you Marty!! :D

This has been a busy day of last minute packing up and about to bake that sopapilla cheesecake. Looking forward to tomorrow.. I had so much fun at the last RU! Thanks again to all who help make this possible.. we are lucky to have a RU so close (for us in N. TX/DFW anyway) and twice a year at that!

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Travel safely our distant gardeners!!

My cell is 817-253-2431 if you need it.

One person I am missing hearing from is Patrob. Patricia if you are surfing here, let us hear from you. Miss having you join us each RU.

Fort Worth, TX

finished my main dish early but my plants will be freshly lifted and wished a lot of luck, been a rough year. Last couple of weeks pure chaos

Looks like I only have requests for Columbine by TX Flower child
and Skullcap for SPWD and Bananna

And I have a red passion flower for SPWD, that is already potted thank goodness. If I have time in the morning I will still lift the dwarf nandina to a pot, but with 2 children here and I need to drain my largest pond so my grandson can help catch the tilapia from it, I probably will just make the promised list.

will try to grab some seeds for broccoli and amaranth but no guarantees... Looking forward to RU

Bringing extras of most things for those who do not have.

Houston Heights, TX(Zone 9a)

We are home. It took us longer due to construction on 45 near Houston. Thanks to everyone who gave plants and took the plants I brought. I enjoyed seeing all of you again. George enjoyed his first RU and meeting you all. Looking forward to Spring.

Fort Worth, TX

very beautiful Marty, sun is ok as long as adequate moisture?

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

I am still worried about Stephanie and I hope she is o.k.

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

stephanie has been posting on Facebook different things so I am sure she is ok

Smockette and I made it back to her house and I am also home now. Had a wonderful time and was great seeing all of you again. I brought home so many plants that we almost had to rent a truck :) Thanks everyone for another wonderful time.

Did you all collect enough to pay for the pavilion? I don't think you did so I wouldn't mind sending some more money to help and am sure other DGer's would do the same. Please let us know.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

I am okay. Mark has been sick and we had a conflict at church, so we decided to go to the event at church. I've also been having some kind of weird inflammation thing going on since the end of August that has prevented me from getting outside. I think things are finally calming down and we're both on the mend.

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

Great to here from you stephanie :)

Houston Heights, TX(Zone 9a)

Yes, gypsi on the Dietes. Full sun and suitable for xeriscaping.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Thank you for letting us know Stephanie, I was afraid one of you might be sick, I hope things clear up soon, we missed you as well Rox crew and Baja.

Yes Sandy, we did collect enough money, we even went a little over, so no problem, but I appreciate that you guys care so much, we are in the company of good people.

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

Great happy to hear that :) You are the Hostesses and the Hosts with the mostess!!!! THNAKS AGAIN!!!!

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

Was unloading the van yesterday and something must have died in our yard. Was trying to lose my lunch from the smell. David went to get lime and find out what it is. Guess what I get for having a jungle out there. YUCK!!!! hope he can find it.

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

Ted I didn't get home with any acorns but would love some at the spring RU please

Dallas, TX

ILJ99 - You want acorns??? I've got a bumper crop. Really big ones this year. And I think the squirrels enjoy pitching them at my head.

(Becky), Lipan, TX(Zone 7b)

Sandy, I have some of the burr oak acorns too, if you want them :)

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

You guys are talking about next spring trades, you need to start a word document for 2015 and put your wants or giving items on it so you don't forget. Speaking from experience, I will tell you I will send, bring, dig....but if the mind is the only place it is it will never get done!! LOL!

I used to use the big burr oak acorns for crafts. They remind me of an eskimo with a fur hat.

Dallas, TX

I was thinking about mailing some very ripe acorns to ILJ99 if she wants them. Not going to save any for spring.

But really, Sheila, an eskimo with a fur hat? Me thinks you must have a vivid imagination! (But that's a good thing.)

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

I think the big burr oak acorns are really cool looking. Not sure what I will do with them but they really are crafty looking. Tx_flower if you want to send some let me know and I will be happy to pay the postage. Would love how ever many you want to send.
