2014 N Central TX RU October (Arlington) TRADE THREAD #1

(Becky), Lipan, TX(Zone 7b)

Flowerchild -- I'm always seeking seed-starting flats (and a few sizes up). A huge bonus would be if they come with the pre-fit pots! Also for the greggs mistflower (Josephine has it for swap I believe) it should be hardy enough to plant in-ground and be back come spring.. just in case you were on the fence about it :)
I'm watching the wild milkweeds like a hawk -- still hoping for some seed to share.. But I did sift through my personal stash and set aside a few seeds each of a few diff asclepias varieties for you ... A. Curassavica, A. Incarnata, A. Physocarpus, and A. Syriaca. Do you have any of those already? And yes I would LOVE a epiphyllum cutting please and thank you VERY much!!

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Becky, I know I am rather late, but if you get some milkweed seeds could you save me some?
Check my list please.

(Becky), Lipan, TX(Zone 7b)

Josephine if I get lucky I will set aside a pack each of the A. viridis & asperula. But did you also want the A. incarnata, syriaca, physocarpus, and curassavica? Just lmk, I have 1 extra pack of each ready to go.. and I also collected some bundle flower and monarda citriodora seeds this week, I think those are both butterfly plants but I may be wrong, can set aside some of those as well, if you like.

I read your list and would love the Flame acanthus and Brazos penstemon please :)

Dennis, I just noticed your dad has frostweed also, could I please have one? I am so intrigued by that plant!

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Becky the Brazos penstemon and Flame acanthus are yours.

Dennis you have the Carolina Phlox.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Geeze! I think I am out of practice. It took my four tries to get my list to post. I would post then try to preview and change something, and the edit feature wasn't there. it would show a blank box. So I did my edit in word and it is ready now!

Grapevine, TX(Zone 8a)

Sheila, can I have the smooth sumac?

Dallas, TX

JOSEPHINE - Could I please have the Greg's Bluemist? And if not already jumped on, would love the Dutchman's Pipe, Aristolochia fimbriata.

STEADYCAM - If no one has already asked for it, I would love the Frostweed.
Also, I think you gave me a fern last spring in a humongus pot. If that was you, did I hear you say that you wanted the pot back? Oh, wait. I think maybe it was from Sybram. Will check.

SWPD - We cut a deal on cuttings! (Can maybe include some hybrids but they are picky about climate. Not too hot, not too cold. Have to see what I haven't killed yet.) I'm currently growing a couple of A. Curassavica plants, but don't know if they re-seed themselves. I would love all that you've mentioned.

SHEILA - I would love a Basket Plant cutting or 2 or 3 (one is fine if others want) and a Passionflower (prefer the larger one, of course).

ALL - Please tell me how to bring extra veggie seeds. Get some of those teeny tiny little plastic bags? Or just plain envelopes? Or?????? (These will be on my table, first come, first served, so need envelopes, baggies or something.)

Yes, you definitely can have the sumac Dennis.

Grapevine, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks, Sheila.

I just updated my availability list. I found a few more agave babies and I listed out the cactus varieties that I have. I still have a lot of stuff that must go so please ask if there is anything you would like! I don't want to take anything home with me if I can help it.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Josephine, you're already linked.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes, I finally realized that I had to post my list in the space that I reserved a long time ago.
It is all good now, thanks.

Fort Worth, TX

If anyone has a spare frostweed I would like one.

(Becky), Lipan, TX(Zone 7b)

Sheila I have a huge stack of both gallon and quart pots -- you can have as many as you like.. could I please have the mini blinds? I like to use them as plant markers too, and just ran out.

Dennis - if you really don't mind me asking for a few more plants, I would like the splendida agave and mammalaria grahamii cactus.. but if any one else would like them please let them have them since you are already sharing :)

Steadycam - could I ask for a purple double datura also if you still have one?

Kingston, OK(Zone 7a)

Steady cam 3 do you have any of these left.double purple Datura, PINK And yellow lantana,
,hens and chicks,

Dallas, TX

SPWD - I also have some slats from mini-blinds that created by a "'CAT"- atrophic cataclysm. (I could go on but will spare you.) Also, I'll be bringing a trunk load of 3 gallon, 1 gallon, quart, and 4" size pots. If you don't have a lot of room, don't worry about bringing yours.

DENNIS - Do you or your dad grow a succulent called Senecio? Will try to find it. Light grey-green stems with very bright orange flowers. Found one via Google called Senecio Galpinii but hard to tell if this is right. And what is Fire on the Mountain? Getting conflicting things.

Gypsi, I will put your name on my last frostweed.

StillPlaysWDirt, I will put your name on the cactus and agave.

Fort Worth, TX

I have lantana and turkscap I could lift and transport, and heartleaf skullcap and columbine, plus seeds, including a bunch of Texas star hibiscus seeds I harvested today. Do I have anything anyone needs?

(Becky), Lipan, TX(Zone 7b)

I would like a heartleaf skullcap please Gypsi :)

Thank you Dennis and Flowerchild :)

Dallas, TX

Thank you, Josephine, for the passionflower, Greg's Bluemist and the Dutchman's Pipe.

Gypsi - I am already getting a native columbine from Anna, but if no one asks for yours, I'd love to have it. (We can wait and see.)

Steadycam - Just noticed, so a delayed thank you for the Frostweed.

And thank you to anyone I haven't already thanked.

Houston Heights, TX(Zone 9a)

Sheila, may I have a wild petunia and a pink turks cap?

Kingston, OK(Zone 7a)

Updated my list. Take a look so I know how much to bring or dig.
Would like some more lantana as am doing front bank of yard over

Dallas, TX

SPWD - I can bring some clay pots, depending on size. Did you have anything in mind? Don't especially feel like doing an inventory at the moment.
I know I have 2 small clay pots (donated by a neighbor) that are very pretty but don't have drainage holes. Do you want me to put your name on them?

Were you the one who also wanted 'crack pots'? Got some of those, including a cracked strawberry planter pot. Again, do you want me to put your name on any of those?

I will put your name on seed starter trays/flats. Not sure what you mean by 'pre-fit' pots? Do you literally mean 'pots' such as peat pots? Work with me here.

BANANNA - Do you want me to put your name on X number of 3 gallon pots? Or 4" pots? Have so many I've lost track. (I know I have at least 300 of the 4 inchers and 80 or so of the 3 gallon ones.)

SHEILA - What about you? Should I put your name on X number of pots? Need to see how many gallon size and quart size ones are around.

JOSEPHINE - Do you want me to put your name on any of the flats, non-flat flats, and/or pots?

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

Dennis do you still have a quadracolor agave? would love one if you do.
Tx FC: Do you have 5 gallon? Also like the quart if have enough. The columbines are looking iffy, so if someone else has some, trade away
Check my list, found some other plants

Grapevine, TX(Zone 8a)

Anna, I have you down for the last quadricolor agave. Can I have an aster and a little bluestem grass?

(Becky), Lipan, TX(Zone 7b)

Flowerchild - yes I'm the 'crack pot' lady! I'll take em!! Clay pots, decorative pots, seed starting trays -- any would be awesome.. Or any others where the trays have premolded squares with the pots that fit snugly into each square -- idk what they're called but when you go and buy a whole flat of pansies, that is what they come in. Are they just called flats? I hate not knowing the correct word for something -- feel like I'm playing a game of charades! Lol

Kingston, OK(Zone 7a)

Sheila My friend that is coming Gwen Wilcox would like a Sheffield Daisy

Dallas, TX

Bananna - No worries about the Columbine. Will check your list later.

As for the pots, all I can say is, 'OMG!' Went into my garage earlier and saw that I had forgotten that someone gave me 4 (yes, four) of the black heavy duty trash bags full of pots. 4" (pink anyone?), quart, gallon, plus the round 5 and 6 and maybe 8 inch azeala pots. I know have 3 gallon pots. Don't really know if I have any 5 gallon pots. But wait! Just remembered. I have some formerly white rectangular pots that I bet hold 5 gallons. I measured them once but not going outside in the dark to check again. I know I have a 25 gallon pot. I think there might be 1 or 2 hanging baskets w/o the hangers. In fact, if we could coordinate, this person said she also had a bunch of hanging baskets. If not before this weekend then definitely in time for the Spring RU.

Dallas, TX

GYPSI - Times have changed already. Things happen quick when pre-trading! If you still have a Columbine, I would definitely like it please.

SPWD - Crack pots, etc. are yours. Clay, decorative, strawberry, and so on. And I think we're on the same page about the flats with pre-molded squares. Got lots of 'em.

TED - Didn't you (or someone) want a Lantana? I found one that I'd forgotten about. Think it's yellow, else it's red. Thought it was dead and chucked it to a corner of the yard. Stumbled on it today and it's alive! It's probably a strong plant since it survived the drought, heat, shade, torrential rain, and complete neglect. It's in a gallon size pot but the new growth is still small. Didn't look at the roots. Let me know if you would like it. Haven't put it on my list yet.

Fort Worth, TX

Will try to lift some columbine, lantana, turks cap and skullcap (scullcap?) this evening maybe. Things have happened quickly around here, I'd best do it now before I'm on the road all week.

If no one wants the turks cap or lantana I have a daughter with a new yard that will take what I lift.

Houston Heights, TX(Zone 9a)

I have added some things to my list. Someone wanted Chili Petin.

Sheila, I would like a pink turks cap and a native petunia if it is the humilis species.

Dennis I would like some snake...............plant.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

I am seriously having issues with editing my posts!
I had typed up a whole post and realized I put the petunias on for Marty and they weren't the kind she wants. I went back to edit and it was blank, tried it twice. Then I accidentally hit the save button and it wiped out everything!
So....Gypsi and Becky.....on the plastic pots I don't need the 4" square but any others you want to bring, I am sure Josephine or myself will take, and can find homes for extras.

ILJ99 Sandy.....May I get a Candletree Senna?

Here are my promised at this time:

Items Promised to:

Dennis - Smooth Sumac

SPWD Becky – Mini blind, pots

Steadycam Marty - 2 pink turks cap

Gwen (Ted’s friend) Sheffield Daisy
