I think the greatest thrills are nature's little surprises. Like the DOUBLE yellow daffodil (I bought singles) or the WHITE Lady Banks (tagged as yellow) or the curly clematis I found growing wild in the pasture last year.
Maybe I'm just easily pleased, but these sort of incidents are little blessings of joy; something unexpected, but welcome anyway. Life is such an adventure. We never know what each day will bring!

Bloomer: I know exactly what you're talking about. We bought this farm last November, after all the perennials had died back, trees had lost their leaves, etc.
Now things are starting to come up that we had no idea could have been there! Daffies and tulips are the first to come, and about 100 sqft of forsythia. We're sure to find much more when spring gets more underway.
I'm like a kid in a candy store, always walking the property looking for the next hidden gem!
