I finally did it after 3 tries, I finally have a moonflower bud! I took this picture to show you that it is possible to grow moonflowers and morning glories in the house. Here it is.
Moonflower bud!!!!
Wow...did you grow this from seed? If so, when did you start your seeds?
I plan to winter sow this winter and put plants out on my deck next summer.they are beautiful blossoms...please post photo when your bud opens!
Yep I grew it from some seeds that my hubby got from the Dollar Store some time ago. I was thinking all I would have is Morning Glories even though I knew I planted moonflowers, but then I saw this bud forming and I could not figure it out until I looked on the web, and there it was, moonflower bud! Can someone tell me just how much longer before it opens up? Here is a picture of the Flying Saucer morning glories that I planted in the same pot as the moonflowers, I actually forgot that I planted them in the same pot, but my hubby took this picture while I was at work, and boy is it beautiful, I WILL certainly take pics of the moonflower when it opens. Until then I guess it is a waiting issue, I don't think it wil be long but not sure.
The morning glory is just beautiful!
I forgot I planted that particular kind of morning glory in that pot.
Gorgeous!
I would have said the "ball" with leaves coming out of it is a bud, but doenst look like the other, which was elongated, does it!?
Has it opened yet????
