We have had an infestation of leaf miners for the last 2-3 years. We've replaced the top foot of soil in the beds, and that helped for a couple of months. Now they are back. I hesitate to use systemic pesticides in the soil as they are in beet greens, chard and spinach- all things that would take up the pesticide to kill the insects, but we would end up ingesting it. Any helpful thoughts?
Pest Control
I'm pretty sure that any product that contains pyrethrin will work at killing the leaf miners. Pyrethrin is organic and derived from Chrysanthemums. It's labeled for use on vegetables.
