Gorgeous blooms Debra. I love the Lav with the blue streaking, very pretty.
Great blooms in the 1st pic, 2nd row. Are they purps?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Debra, those are so pretty!

Gautier, MS

Thanks ladies.

I agree with Jackie, your blooms are gorgeous Debra. I like the tower of blooms and the lite blue one. Like your orange zinnia too.

Debra, that 4rth bloom is from Jackie's Blushing Bride seed, it could be a cross since it happens with the bees going around from flower to flower.

My first bloom on this vine that makes also chocolate blizzard bloom and also large white blooms with just a slight stripe.
Next 2 blooms are from China Doll, one of my cats dug up one of the pots and turned it over.
I hope it don't die on me.

Helena, love your pretty China Doll blooms. Your gorgeous Choc Blizzard blooms have been to die for this yr. I have 1 of your sds of this one blooming. Next yr I want to start 2 or 3of them,

I had some nice blooms the last couple of days but had an appt yesterday so didn;t
get to post many of them.

For Debra, a purp pic showing the sd pods and how they hang upside down, One sure way
to tell its a purpurea. Also my buds usually come in groups of 3 on my purps.

Wow, I love that white hige, i can trade you some peppermint for the white *hint hint* question.. is the hige a purp then>?? The seeds look the same as a purp.
Helena, I love your beautiful blooms, seems like they get bigger and prettier every day.

Jackie, is the tri lobed color block a purp? You would think I'd know, but I don't know everything..

Deb, yes if it makes sds, I will save you a few of the white hige sds. Its a purp, it will make'the upside down sd pods in groups of 3;s just like Milky Way and my other purps
on the fence,
The speckled tri-lobed making the color block bloom is a nil.

Drop dead gorgeous blooms Deb. Especially love that 2nd'one with a star.
Just realized your almost white is a Blue Silk, funny how the color almost falls off the border of the bloom but BS does tend to do that. Gorgeous colors on the others.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Deb, beautiful 1st bloom, looks like a Rosita, a Youjiro yaguruma.Your 2nd
pic reminds me of the beautiful Purple blizzard I grew yrs ago.Great blooms you're getting now.
Look growing inmy sons yard next door, I;ve sent a few pics to the plannt id forum, It's
lovely whatever it is,

Beautiful blooms everyone!

Let us know when you find out what that plant is!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

It's a thistle, a giant purple one, I have three here.. I picked from seeds in the country, I LOVE it. go here..

Jackie and Linda, it's a thistle wild flower. I tried growing them once or twice. It will send a shoot, the flowers can be purple, pink or I've even seem red maroon. I like the flowers not the spines.

Gorgeous, beautiful, to die for blooms Jackie and Debra.

I missed my lilac speckled bloom this morning.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

That is beautiful , Helena.
Is the speckled an i nil or purp? ( I am still asking way too many questions)

Here is one I forgot to show you, I thought I had some dropped PPV at this fence, but looks like someone elses something?
LK, I have four thistles growing, if you want one and will wear gloves, I will send you one this fall. They do come back.

We have lots of thistle that grows wild here. I just did not recognize the plant with out the bloom! I picked a bunch of the dried flowers, hoping to start some from seed.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Debra, The speckled tri-lobed making the color block bloom is a nil. Purps for the most part make heart shaped lvs,not tri-lobed. Nils can sometime make heart shaped lvs. I had a Gray that made heart shaped lvs even though it is a nil.
Thanks everyone for id/ing the thistle. A lady on plant id has also id'd it as such.
Looking forward to the blooms.
Love your Lilac speckled Helena.
Debra, PPV does on occasion make a star shaped bloom like the one you show.

Wow, what a great batch of eye candy to wake up to. Love all the spots, speckles, stripes and flecks on those, Helena. Also, that silver shadows is reminding me of a blister pearl, the color is so irredecent.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Helena, those are beautiful. I love that last one in the top post. Such a pretty pale blue!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

3rd time I've typed this. Problem with IE so switched to Mozilla Firefox Nothing but problems'with IE lately.

Debra, lovely collection of purps you've got going this yr, Mine are no where near that pretty.

Helena, Love your Choc Bliz cross, just special in every way. I think the last lite blue'on the end
of the 1st row is also a Lite blue tie dye. It made several patterns for me last yr, well at
least 2 different ones. Beautiful collection of speckleds for you Helena.

A few from yesterday

Thanks Debra, Linda, and Jackie.

I was wondering if it was from your lite blue tie dye Jackie. It didn't have a label but I untangled it from the other mg. I live that lite blue color Jackie, thanks for sharing your seeds with me.

Beautiful blooms Jackie too, love all three Trilobed specked, Saz and No Mai!

I've been working on potting up my overgrown little cup mgs little by little each day. But boy is it hot to be outside for long.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

You're welcome Helena.
Dangerous to be out in this heat. Be careful. If its small repotting jobs I;m going to do, I
take newspapers and spread around and do my repotting in the kitchen on the tile floor.
Then I can stay cool while I work. :-)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jackie, those those are beautiful!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

oh Jackie, that Saz is awsome, and the brightness of no mai is outstanding, and look how the pretty speckles are just peppered here and there. Beautiful.

I like to re-pot inside as well, I make a mess, but I clean it up.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Helena, Linda and Debra.
Easy cleanup for me Debra as long as I don't let the dirt
escape the newspapers. :-)

Gautier, MS

I would make a big mess inside. Told my DH yesterday I need to buy more dirt, I'm running out. I've been a good customer at Lowes, need more bamboo ticks too.
If I repot in early morning it's not too bad but I feel tired today, not enough sleep.

These bloomed today.

oh Helena, those are gorgeous/ please tell me the name of number 1 and number 4? *Swoon*

2 and three are so contrasting each other. I think I see 8 points on the speckles.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Those are beautiful!
