Pittsburgh, PA(Zone 6a)

Let me add one more but I can't find the music for it..The beginning is something about "There's something stuck up in the chimney..."

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Even though we don't recognize Christmas as Christ's birthday (long story; e-mail me if you're curious ;0), we do use the holiday time to appreciate the blessings of family and friends. Having said that, my three favorites (can't have just one, LOL) are Oh Holy Night, White Christmas, and the entire Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack.

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

Have to say "O Holy Night" . DH and I got married a few days after Christmas and we put that song in our wedding cause I love it so much.

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

Oh why did you have to ask. I am a whistler. MY wife and I can be in Walmart shopping and she will punch me and say quit whistling your getting on everyones nerve's. I'll quit and a minute later I am back at it again. I do the same at work and in the house watching t.v. it just something that I can't help. I do it all the time. Now the Christmas song that I'll be whistling
way past Easter is

CHRISTMAS TIME IS COMING
by Sammy Kershaw

Holly's in the window
Home is where the wind blows
I can't walk for runnin'
'Cause Christmas time is coming'

Can you hear them bell's ringin' ringin'
joy,joy hear them singing
When it's snowing I'll be going
Back to my country home

Christmas times a comin'
Chrisrmas times a comin'
Christmas times a comin'
And I know I'm going home

White candles burnin'
My old hearts a yearnin'
For the folks at home when
Chrisrtmas times a comin'

Snowflakes are fallin'
Lonely hearts are callin'
Tall pines are hummin'
'Cause Christmas time's a comin'

I just received a message from sweet thing
she says shut up the whistling. It sounds so pretty to me. LOL
Another favorite of mine is a Johnny Cash song "THE WEAVER" A real tear jerker. He talks all the song so I guess it's not a song but a story. I wait until Christmas is almost over to play it. Don't want to get depressed. Also SLEDDER, my wife and I love 'GO TELL IT ON THE MOUNTAIN.' especially the rendition by Mahalia Jackson.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF YOU FROM MR. AND MRS. GRC AND ALL THE KIDS AND GRANDKIDS. THE WHOLE GEORGIA RED CLAY GANG.

Pittsburgh, PA(Zone 6a)

okay ruby,,I love the chipmunks too. I'm a hummer,,no not the bird..but I hum all the time. And since I'm an alto singer I harmonize my humming. It drives my daughter crazy because I'll hum louder than the radio. lol farmgirl, "Go Tell It On The Mountain" is an old spiritual song. Do you need the sheet music? or just the song? I love all these songs..Silent Night at candle light services at church. I'm generally playing either the piano or the organ for it. It sends chills up my spine..but the spiritual warmth is overwhelming. Isn't it great what music can do. "T" :)

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

Farmgirl The person I remember singing it was Mahalia Jackson. I don't know if I have it or not. I know I did at one time.I'll check and see for you.

Plymouth, MI(Zone 6a)

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

I really like silver bells (probably my fav), and all the jazzy ones before Christmas. I also really like the one Alabama does, "Thistlehair the Christmas bear", and Dolly Parton does a neat one "I believe in Santa Clause". But starting Chistmas Eve and throughout Christmas Day, I prefer to hear the more religious ones like Silent Night, What Child is this, It came upon a midnight clear, etc.

Middle, TN(Zone 6b)

Mahalia Jackson's version of "Go Tell It On the Mountain" is definitely the best in my opinion. It is on several of the albums of her songs as well as on a lot of the different collections albums.

Surry, VA(Zone 7b)

Oh Holy Night is my favorite.

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

Mine is "All Through the Night", then Mahalia's christmas album ... and Tennessee Ernie Ford's...

I'd love to know if anyone has a copy of "Sister Mary Had but One Child".

I will also have to add'Do You Hear What I Hear' and 'The First Noel'.

Crossville, TN

STOP! Ya'll done made me cry...(wiping tears). I always cry when I first hear the Christmas Carols...or The Star Spangled Banner...and John Phillip Sousa...and...

I think my favorite is "What Child is This?", followed by "Little Drummer Boy". Love all of them! Jo

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Our CD player has those little casette things you can load up with 5 or 6 CDs and put it on "random play" (yeah, this was before CDs came out with those huge "juke box" features that will hold 100+ CDs at once.) But I like this, because I have one filled with my favorite Christmas CDs:

Charlie Brown's Christmas
Harry Connick, Jr.
Mariah Carey
Vince Gill
Nutcracker Ballet soundtrack
and something else...can't think of the name, but it's a children's choir of traditional carols.

I love to put it in when we're decorating the tree, making cookies or having friends over. Okay - honestly? It plays pretty much 24/7 from Thanksgiving until Christmas :)

Midland, PA

Anyone else enjoy the harp? I purchased a 4 cd set last year of various Christmas music. The album with only the harp is the only one that gets played year round. It's beautiful.

Just listing those that haven't been mentioned already Kenny G's, Michael Bolton, Alabama, Celine Dion

Longview, TX

Silent Night, and The Little Drummer Boy, also Handel's Messiah is beautiful.
