Mirabilis Jalapa

Hey all.
My dad loves his 4 o clocks. He has 4 colors. Yellow, baby pink, red, and fuchsia. His yellows and fuchsias mix readily. I attached a picture I took a couple days ago.

They mix all the time, however I've never seen more than 2 colors mix.

But I have seen pictures on the internet of flowers with 3-4 colors in them.

How can you get the flowers to mix more than 2 colors?

Not sure, but your flower in the picture is beautiful.

The simple answer...mixing the pollen from different colors. EXAMPLE: Taking pollen from a pink flower and a red flower and depositing the pollens on a yellow flower. The seeds from the yellow flower could produce various combinations of all three plant colors.

Hope this helps.
