We have a large staghorn fern which has become home to wasps, yellow-jackets, or some similar pest. What can we use to eradicate (or evict) them without harming the plant? It's a good sized plant - too heavy for me to lift. A non-toxic DIY remedy would be preferred - don't want to use household wasp spray because it is petroleum based and may harm the plant. This plant MUST be relocated, so it is imperative that we remove these pests - they're welcome to live elsewhere as long as not in a place that would be a hazard to pets & humans.

Something like this works very well. If they see it, they may vacate their nest.
