I live in Scotland - in the UK and was given this plant as a gift. It had no identification tag and came with generic instructions. The leaves are waxy green with a beautiful central (narrow) light green pattern, which looks like it's been applied with a paintbrush. The plant folds up at night and opens during the daytime. I have attached a full picture and a close up of the leaf. (My fingers in the picture should give some idea of size.)
If anyone can put a name to this plant - temporarily called Doris - I'd be very grateful.
Thanks - Terri :-)
NAME FOR THIS PLANT PLEASE?

It is one of the Maranta/Calathea or related plants.
Common name of some of the Maranta are Prayer Plant (because the leaves fold up at night) and Rabbit Tracks (Because of the brown spots on the leaves).
This one is not the 'Rabbit Tracks'.
