Aquarium ornaments in garden?

Can you put aquarium ornaments in your garden or will they break somehow?

Contra Costa County, CA(Zone 9b)

Ornaments designed for aquariums come in several groups.

Ceramic (Merpeople, castles) are like any ceramic, and can break if they get bumped into or hit.

Some sort of durable plastic sort of stuff, often used to make fake tree stumps. Will probably fade with time, but otherwise pretty indestructible.

Plastic air toys, like drifting scuba divers, crocodile mouths and so on will break as they age.

Plastic plants: Will fade, ultimately become brittle and fall apart.

Real rocks, driftwood, leaves and other things from nature will behave accordingly.

Live aquarium plants might grow in a pond, or on the margin. Some are really house plants that die slowly when under water. None will grow in dry soil.

Is there a particular item you have in mind?
Aquarium stuff is water proof (duh!) but not usually UV stabilized, so the sun ages the materials.

I was thinking of getting a Japanese bridge like this:

Are there any natural aquarium products which would be bad for plants?

Contra Costa County, CA(Zone 9b)

I think the 1st item would be fine in a somewhat shaded location.
I am not sure about the 'Sponge Bob' thing. Is it ceramic? I did not read all the details. Safe, but maybe it would break?

Aquarium things are usually made in a way that will hold up to water, and are safe for fish.
They are not generally made to hold up to ultra violet, and they are not usually intended to be used where they might get bumped into too hard.

I cannot think of any aquarium thing that would be bad for plants.

There are always new things on the market, of course. A few years ago there was an aquarium thing that smelled really bad, and I think the person reported some fish deaths. I have not seen that product line for a long time.
