Wildflower that has Carrot top looking foliage

COTTONTOWN, TN

I have this clump of wildflowers in the late summer and in the spring it has buttercups. I want to clean up this area, mulch it and build a stone circle around it. HOWEVER, Im not sure what these flowers look like if they aren't blooming. There are a lot of random "carrot" looking weeds that are only here in this circle. Could this be the future flowers? I don't want to pull them or dig out the wrong thing.

thanks :-)

How about a close up? Hard to see any detail when you take a picture 50 feet away.

I agree that we need a close up of the plant IF possible, it's too far away for identification and unfortunately, the pictures cant be enlarged.
Also it is true there are several carrot top looking foliaged weeds and flowers to give you proper help or advice, I know this is frustrating for you but better getting a proper ID than just having folks guessing.

If your going to prepare the area to make a new flower bed, then you can carefully dig up the plants, either place into a large container or box with soil then keep it in a shaded place and water to keep the soil damp, this will allow you to get on with your new project till you get the ID required, IF it turns out to be a weed then you can dump the plant, IF it's a nice named variety of plant you want to keep, you can replant it when bed is ready,
make sure you add as much humus / manure to the new planting area as you can get hold off as making beds where grass has been growing will be depleted of any type of fertility needed for growing nice flowering plants / bulbs / or shrubs depending on your choice, Make the bed bigger than you think you might need as whatever plants you put into the bed, they will spread and multiply over a few years and you may end up having to empty the bed again and replant.
Hope this helps you out a bit and you can get back to us with a close-up picture of the plant your asking about.
Kindest Regards.
WeeNel.
